So there’s a lot to this situation and I’m gonna try my best to break it down.
My(21F) coworker(33M) and I have been chatting daily, hanging out, even having sleepovers for about 7 weeks. We’re scheduled to go out in 2 days to a comedy show that he invited me to. I’m like 75% positive he likes me, but I’m just not sure why he isn’t making a move. I mean making any physical move at all. We don’t even hug or cuddle. I am very open, and have told him that I have feelings for him. His response has been convoluted with a couple different excuses
- we work together (in a restaurant)
- we have an age gap
- he doesn’t want to ruin our friendship if something were to happen
- he’s just not ready for a relationship yet
He says the way things are is “just how he wants things for now” and I tell him I am okay with that, but I feel like there is something more. He took care of me when I was sick, I cleaned his house, he paid for a $400 ticket to a festival in August for me. What doesn’t make sense is the fact that we text every single day, hang out, and he invites me out to this comedy show, but he won’t make a move.
Before anyone asks, he is not gay. And yes I am 100% positive.
Do we think he wants something more with me, or is he just enjoying the attention and company from me? But if the latter were the case, then why not make a move?
