How true na yung mga patients under charity/ government services are being operated and assigned to partner foreigners para pag-aralan o part ng studies/ requirements nila? This is alarming for me. I want to move on, I want to accept that my mom died because of complications after the surgery. But I can't fathom the fact na isang foreigner nga ang nag-opera sa mama ko. Days before, tuwang-tuwa pa si mama na foreigner daw mag-oopera sa kanya, kaya rin tumaas confidence namin kasi, imagine free and zero billing na kami sa hospital tapos foreigner pa ang mag-oopera kay mama. Pero it looks like hindi 'that kind' of foreigner ang nag-opera kay mama. Bagito daw kung baga. Ang saklap kasi parang ginawang lab rat yung nanay ko para sa advantage ng iba, let alone hindi pa Pinoy. Nakakadismaya at nakakagalit. Sana hindi to totoo.

Trigger Warning: Death

My Mom passed away last week after her open heart surgery at the Philippine Heart Center. We took the chance of having her surgery under charity/ for free because we thought she will survive it and the doctors' confidence are up to the ceiling. We cannot afford the amount that was quoted to us. So we waited for two weeks to have her surgery. Just few hours after the surgery, my Mom expired. We paid nothing, yes, but we lost our "ilaw ng tahanan". It's so tragic, it hurts so much.

To people who experienced the same, who lost their parents so early, how are you coping so far?
