and by that I meant both the wings and tritypes. ask me questions and I'll answer to the best of my ability.

I have an acquaintance who is very likely ISTP. we game together a lot but we don't actually talk about anything outside of gaming at all. me I enjoy the silence and I don't feel like it's awkward or anything and we've played very difficult games, having to work as a team. there were moments where he joked around and I joked but it's very rare. I enjoy what we have, in that I get to share my fav activity which is gaming with someone who is interested in similar types of games. I feel like this runs deep and serves a purpose (activity based friendship/acquaintanceship). this is not how I always do friendships with everyone but select few. now I find myself thinking I could always have more of these.

do you think that is how you like your friendships too or no?

AFAIK your shadow functions are that of INFJ's. I wonder how it comes out in unhealthy ways because I really struggle to see the connection other than the superficial knowing that ENFPs can be very good with people to the point of being manipulative when unhealthy.

what would you say are some interesting cases of ENFP darksides and how do they correlate to shadow functions if you see a connection?

The two very interesting cases I can think of right now are the Charles Manson one and J. M. Barrie's character, Peter Pan (the entirety of that work was fundamentally his cry for help I'd say).

I can't help it but see that ENFPs fascinate me, but what intrigues me a lot about them is the duality. the positives are over the top and sometimes the darkness they endure are just incredibly mortifying and heavy. I want to understand what the worst case scenarios as well as less than worst would look like, how it manifests.

I'd be enlightening if you use anecdotes or cases of infamous people to elucidate. Keep in mind I don't think the darkest of the darkest apply to all ENFPs either. you guys are my favorite type in many ways.
