Am I overreacting if I throw away children’s toys?

For the last year, we have been finding toys in our backyard, a majority of them in our pool. We have also found rocks, toy cars, trampoline springs, and anything that can be picked up off the ground and tossed, in our yard. Our lawnmower finds them, we trip on them, and many have broken ceramic flower pots and glass lanterns in our backyard.

When this started, we assumed the “kids were just being kids” and would toss items back over the fence Harmless fun, must be an accident a toy flies over. But then we caught them in the act of tossing items and laughing about it, they had made it into a game and were purposely throwing the toys over. And the sheer number of items just kept ramping up. One week we ended up with a box full of items and we took it and left it at the neighbors house and hoped that the parent would realize someone had returned the toys because the kids had been tossing them, and put an end to it. But apparently not.

There are currently 3 large plastic balls (like the ones in the net tower at Walmart), a football, a basketball, a soccer ball, a pickleball, and a tennis ball IN our pool. They weren’t there two days ago, but now they are. This doesn’t include the tennis ball in a flower pot, or the various pieces of trash plus another trampoline spring I just found.

So, am I overreacting if I just start throwing them away?

Do I use the wand to stir?

I knew for an $0 ETV item it wasn’t likely to be a real ice cream maker. Oh well, maybe next time I’ll get lucky.
