Look Closely At the Checkout Invoice Before You Click Ship It
Hey Guys, Just an FYI, I have seen on a couple of items lately that our "Discount" is not being applied by the system. If you click "Checkout", then you will be charged the full price.
Just take a look at the bottom line and if it shows a price rather than $0.00 and above that, the Discounted Amount, if there is no Discounted Amount and the Bottom Line is a Price, then that is the price you will be charged.
Watch Out.
Totally Puzzled by this Cruet
Inside the cone shape is a separate cone shape which supposedly holds the oil BUT if you fill it to the top of the cone (I used water to test) It leaks out through a tiny rectangle shaped gap at the base. If you tip it back it also leaks out there. If you tip it forward it comes out of the spout as expected. And what's with the spiral shape if it doesn't spiral? Have no idea how to rate it except for it will look great on the counter LOL I have never seen one like this, ever. as an aside it was in my RFY and only total curiosity made me order it. At first, I thought it was "something else" LOL
Illegal seeds??
I'm an avid gardener, and I love to grow edible plants. So whenever I see seeds offered on Vine, I grab them. I snagged a package of "water spinach" because the description said that water spinach is a healthy addition to stir frys. I researched how to grow it in containers, and planted a few seeds in a small pot to see how it went.
The seeds sprouted, and they've been growing for about a month. I tasted the water spinach, and it didn't taste bad, so I was going to start some more seeds in a bigger pot. I was watching some more videos on propagating water spinach, and then I started reading the questions that always appear below a Google search. One question read "why is water spinach illegal to grow in the US?" WHAT!?
I read the answer, then did some more research...and yes, it is ILLEGAL to grow water spinach in most states, and in some states, illegal to possess the seeds!!
It turns out that this is a HIGHLY invasive plant species that will ruin our waterways if it gets loose.
Needless to say, I will NOT be growing any more of this plant, and now I have to figure out how to destroy the growing plants and seeds.
It seems like there should be some sort of control on Amazon for shipping items to places where they're illegal.
Other Vine user blatantly copied my review and Vine CS won't remove it or sanction
I am one of those reviewers that spends a lot of time on my reviews and my Vine bestie who got items from this brand pointed out that somebody had blatantly copied my review.
Here's the actual listing so you can see for yourself: https://a.co/d/0jfLX8bQ
I posted my review on April 11th and their review was posted on April 14th so it's not even close with time stamps or anything like that. Literally took out the first couple sentences in the first paragraph and the rest of it is word for word. She reported it and I reported it and I just got the email back from Vine customer service that they won't remove it. Why do we even bother? 🤬
Shave .45 Seconds Off Vine Grabs
I want to say, I share this because I believe in a level playing field, and this method is 100% honest and does not allow any cheats and levels it all if all were to do it. Also someone is using .bat files to grab MY stuff. ARG!
So, I enlisted the help of Brian who taught me this. Of all the Browers benchmarks tested CHROME tested the fastest by a few >0.0 seconds. But, the idea is to add to those seconds.
This will only work on a computer, not a phone, I use a Windows based tablet.
- Install Chrome
- Run it naked (not the user but the browser)
- DO NOT LOG INTO CHROME
- Do not install any extensions
- Do not add any bookmarks
- Do not install ADBLOCK (Adblockers will work against Amazon Vine)
- DISABLE Memory saver
- DISABLE Energy saver
- Allow Preload of pages
Turn off anything that preloads tabs, turn off putting tabs to sleep. Run Chrome wide open. ANYTHING engaged will have to preload BEFORE the VINE page does.
This will require you to renter your user name and password for Amazon every time you use it, but even saving that log in slows it down a nano bit, and we are ADDING nano bits.
So now you have a white, nude no frills Chrome. If you did it correctly you have added .45 seconds to your page load time. Of interest a .bat file can do the entire grab in .30 seconds. A Nude Chrome can do it in .45, that is as fast as a human can get. This time of course is now up to you and your fingers. This will NOT work on phones or the App.
THE PINK THING IS GONE. I REPEAT, THE PINK THING IS GONE. HALLELUJAH, THE PINK THING IS GONE.
I’ve seen it all now
Today I saw some yoga pants. In that tiny pic I swear it looked like the woman wearing them had a camel toe so I had to click so I could see the larger picture. I was not disappointed! A little later I saw the pants had been snapped up and after that I saw a camel toe shield.
...do people buy their own graduation stoles? I have never even heard of a graduation that would be set up this way. Why are there so many stoles!!!??
Did all the items get deleted in the AI page? There's nothing in there 😧
Is it worth it to post reviews after 30 days?
I wrote a super long post and accidentally deleted it, so here's the TLDR that everyone would appreciate more anyway-
I have maybe 10 unreviewed items that are past the 30-day limit. Is it worth it to review them? As in, does it affect my account or metrics at all?
I'll probably do it anyway just to clear out my Awaiting Review page (and the anxiety that comes along with those unfinished tasks), but just wonderin'.
I totally get it, y'all, but this isn't a question of morality. Seriously. I understand. I'm just asking how the actual process works
