If you grew up to be a p*dophile, genuinely what do you even do?

I cant post body of the text in askreddit so ill just ask here.

For context, I've been a part of a self improvement community. For a while, I've seen many posts of people asking what to do because they can't stop lusting for tiktok girls that are underaged. Now this has got me thinking, if you turned out to be a pedophile, genuinely what do you even do? Should pedophilia be treated as a mental disorder? Is it even classified as one? Would you be able to live a normal life with it? Because from what I've seen and heard, atleast so far, they "cant help it".

Now lets say you are thr majority who arent a pedophile. How should society approach this situation logically? Should there be prejuidice towards them if the attraction comes from a " mental" place and not an "evil" place? What if they dont participate in activities regarding that "disorder", should they be treated the same as a normal person?

!!! The original text for this post isn't meant to be posted in THIS subreddit, but the question still remains. I also want to add on how peoole interested in psychology approaches this topic.

To be honest I'm not really that knowledgable on this topic so any criticism for this post talking about "common sense" is fair. Although Im curious on what people's thoughts about it.

this cool book i found

Hey guys, i just want to show you this cool book that ive found. This is not an advertisement or anything lmaoo, i just wanted to share it. Its called the everfree method by Bryan Bauer. It talks about the struggles of porn addiction, and how you can beat it without extreme discipline or willpower. It also reframes the porn addiction for what it really is, an addiction, providing the reasons on why you keep cominf back, misconceptions, the stigma of it, and a bunch of others.

I havent really finished it yet since I only received a short copy, but based from what I've read so far, its definitely worth reading. For those who want a copy of the first chapter, kindly dm me.

heya brothers, tonight ive encountered quite a situation. right now i got connected with someone who is willing to sext with me, and she agreed on not sending anything explicit visual wise. just completely text. so i was thinking whether is this completely wrong?

is this something i should completely avoid, if its something i can do seldomly? for context, ive built now quite a good routine for myself, this helps prevent urges. so if its something i can limit to a reasonable amount, would it be okay?

ill answer any questions you might ask regarding this situation.

thank you brothers
