70 years later and this thing still looks futuristic 😮‍💨🏎️
One of the oldest models in my collection.

Finally finished this Lamborghini build 💚

The color looks absolutely insane in person. Definitely one of my favorite Technic models so far. Worth every hour of building

Cataloged my die-cast pile this weekend. Most of it’s still sealed.

One rolling cart, years of accumulation, and a Saturday morning with coffee. I went box by box trying to remember when I bought each.

I couldn’t. Not for most of them.

Some of what I rediscovered:

  1. A Schuco Studio IV Bugatti from a flea market — remember the seller, not the year

  2. Small-scale buses still wearing shop price tags from places I don’t remember visiting

  3. An Absima RC car, never opened, from a brief phase where I was going to “get into RC”

  4. Two Lenovo tablet boxes filed in with the die-cast. That’s when I knew the system had collapsed.

The cart is basically a timeline of my life in cardboard. Boxes from the year I changed jobs, a holiday I’d half-forgotten, a model shop where I lost 90 minutes while my partner waited outside.

Did it for two reasons: insurance (photo + record of every piece if something happens), and memory (I want to know when I got these, not just have them sitting there).

Anyone else cataloged a mostly-boxed collection? Curious what percentage of yours is still sealed.

Cataloged with a scanner app I found called KitSort https://apps.apple.com/pl/app/kitsort/id6760932584 — mentioning it because people always ask, not selling anything.
