Single dad, mother refusing to hand over child 50/50
Hi all, I’m in a situation unfortunately. My son’s mother is refusing to had over my 13 yr old due to me not sending money because I lost my job and then a full on verbal berating via text ensued on me. We went to court about three years ago & agreed to 50/50 no child support involved. About a year in I lived out of the country for six months and we then agreed verbally that every two weeks he’s exchanged to my mother. I began giving her money every two weeks. Fast forward to now. She’s always been extremely disrespectful towards me calling me a multitude of just curses and etc. she also has a bad drinking problem, she’s physically abusive to her family that lives in the house. She also tells my son things he really has no business hearing, coercing etc the works. My son has texted me multiple times he doesn’t feel safe there and he’s begging me to get him via text. I also have disturbing videos of police in the house, my son finding alcohol. Audio of confrontations with her mother as the mother is verbally saying everyone is miserable there, that she physically assaulted her in the stomach as well as her brother and that she’s an alcoholic her room smells booze. I’m trying to get full custody at this point because it’s just not a good environment for him. Do I get the police involved? I’m also worried about taking her to court and providing all of this evidence because it’s so damning I fear her young child may be in jeopardy in. Whom has no father. Any input would be great.
