Honest opinions on job hopping
I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2022 and have changed jobs several times since then. Each time, I worked for the same employer for 6 months to 1.5 years. I left due to a lack of career advancement opportunities, poor management, and in one case, even a downright narcissistic boss.
I’m currently in my fourth job. I actually really enjoy it, but unfortunately, there’s very little work. I can finish my tasks in about an hour, which means I often have nothing to do for the remaining seven hours. I do finally have set hours and vacation periods now, and I enjoy the work that is available. Working from home isn’t an option.
Now I’m wondering if it’s too soon to start looking for another job again. Maybe I should just hang in there for a while and stay here for at least a year to a year and a half. On the other hand, I’m worried that I might be heading toward a bore-out.
In the meantime, I have a pretty good idea of what I’m looking for in terms of responsibilities and the type of company. I actually saw a job opening that perfectly matches what I’m looking for and where I hope to stay for a long time.
Would you hire me as a recruiter, or is this more of a red flag?
