Accidentally spilled a little water on my Lenovo ThinkPad while it was plugged in — when is it safe to turn it back on?

Okay so I accidentally spilled a small amount of water from my water bottle onto my Lenovo ThinkPad.

It wasn’t a huge amount, but once it spread across the keyboard it looked like a lot. Some also got on the screen.

The laptop was plugged in when it happened. I kind of panicked, but before shutting it off I noticed it was still working completely fine for about 3 or 4 minutes.

I was watching YouTube and the video kept playing perfectly normally, no flickering, no lagging, nothing weird at all.

Then my brain finally processed what happened and I immediately unplugged it, shut it down, wiped everything with a microfiber cloth, and put a fan near it.

Right now I’m planning to leave it off for about 24 hours before trying to turn it back on. Also I can't get out my battery and stuff.

I really need this laptop for university stuff and I need it for tomorrow, so I’m stressing a bit and trying not to make the situation worse by turning it on too early.

Do you guys think 24 hours is enough time?

Also, is there anything else I should do to reduce the chance of damage?

Accidentally spilled a little water on my laptop while it was plugged in when is it safe to turn it back on?

Okay so I might have accidentally spilled some water from my water bottle onto my laptop( Lenovo ThinkPad).

It honestly wasn’t that much water, but once it spread across the keyboard it looked like a lot. A little also got on the screen. I don’t think it got deep inside near the battery or vents.

The laptop was plugged in when it happened. It still worked for about a minute after the spill, but the second my brain processed what happened, I immediately unplugged it, shut it down, and wiped everything with a microfiber cloth.

Right now I have a fan blowing on it and it’s been drying for about 5 minutes so far. I really need to do some important stuff on it soon, so I’m wondering

When do you think it would actually be safe to turn it back on?

Also, is there anything else I should do to reduce the chance of damage?

TL;DR: Small amount of water spilled on laptop keyboard/screen while plugged in. Laptop still worked, I immediately unplugged it, shut it down, wiped it dry, and put a fan on it. When is it safe to turn it back on?
