I've read that if you already have hard tap water, adding limestone will act as a safety buffer for pH. Anyone know this to be true ? I'm in southern Indiana. Can I safely add local creek limestone to my African tank after it is properly cleaned ?

Have a female African cichlid that's holding for the first time. How early is too early to strip eggs? I have a tumbler set up and ready to go. This will also be my first time stripping a female. She's been holding for 4 days now. Any advice or tips are appreciated.
