I built a [[Discord, Lord of Disharmony]] deck: https://moxfield.com/decks/yIDToOZtT0axwqgBnkbOaw

The problem I had been running into was getting a random card each turn cycle- sometimes more than once- and writing its effects on a little scrap of paper if it was a permanent (god forbid a planeswalker or saga *shivers*) was an annoying nightmare. I'd heard of people with "Momir Vig" printers that could work, but I wasn't nearly tech savvy enough or willing to lug around a piece of tech at the LGS. So I decided to do what a normal person would do and hit the random button on scryfall 100 times to make a proxy "deck" to play alongside the discord deck. However, when I got started, and I could just be crazy, I felt like there was a recency and rarity bias in the randomized data. It really liked the newly released ATLA set and other recent sets and it really liked rares and mythics from said sets. So, again, I did what any normal person would do and went from the bottom of the list of sets to the top, and choose a card at random from each. Originally I started from the actual very bottom of the set list on scryfall where the vanguard cards are, hence, why Ink Eyes Avatar and Squee Avatar are included (weirdly enough, even though I tried, moxfield will not let me remove Ink Eyes, she's just there now- unplayable but menacing) I gave up on that idea when I realized that there were far more sets than I had realized and started with main sets starting with Alpha and working my way up.

My first roll from alpha was Black Lotus.

Nobody would believe me if I said I randomly got Black Lotus.

I rolled again and got Mon's Goblin Raiders. That went in the deck instead.

I also ended up including one Christmas, one of each un-set, a play test, and one of the heroes of beyond cards chosen at random. As a treat.

Anyway, the random collection of trash can be found here: https://moxfield.com/decks/gS6UBQjcmU6MRF-CIZ7P4A

So, what do you think? Did I "break the spirit" of the card by thumbing the scale slightly in my card selection process?

Also, any recomendations of cards that should definitely go in the deck that I'm missing?
