What is Zeta Delta Xi housing like?

I'm a queer pre-frosh and usually wouldn't be interested in greek life at ALL but this fraternity in particular really caught my eye because it seems to break the codes in a very accepting way. Idk how secret any information about it might be, so I'm just asking out of curiosity. I am yet to experience sharing a dorm room with someone so I was wondering if living in a "frat house" would be a more enjoyable experience (granted I am accepted, dunno how selective it is)

I just received my i-20 today and paid SEVIS fee + filled out ds-160. I really want to get over w this process as soon as possible, but for some reason whenever I try to upload my photo it sends me to a "Service Unvailable - Error 503" page. How long will it take to get fixed?

I was told by a current student that Brown is getting rid of all fridges and microwaves in dorms next year—is this true? If so, what’s the point? I struggle to see how that would benefit the school in any way.

Incoming freshman here! Let's say I move in with a guitar/ukulele/keyboard, how possible would it be for me to practice every day without annoying my roommate? I've seen some dorm tour videos and it seems like a lot of students have guitars etc but I'm wondering where/how they practice. I've heard Brown has some soundproof rooms but I don't know how accessible they are. Also, is it possible to store a relatively big instrument like a keyboard in a shared residential space? Or does it have to stay in my room?

Hello everyone! I'm an upcoming freshman at Brown university and I've always wanted to take a visual arts class but have never been able to because they don't really exist where I'm from. I have a great interest in drawing although I can't say I'm very skilled. Regardless, I really want to improve and be able to express my creativity. I recently learned that Brown students can cross-register for classes at RISD—I know you guys are almost all insanely talented so it sounds very intimidating, but I considered taking the risk of registering for "Drawing I" with professor Victoria Roth. I'd love to know how "beginner"-friendly it is, apparently it's a requirement for all painting majors so I assume a lot of people have taken it in the past. Any help would be appreciated! I'd love to know how intensive the class is, how it works and what you learn throughout the course of a semester ; ))

P.S: I'm not really sure how registration works? I assume you need to have a portfolio to be accepted into the class, but I'm really not sure as I haven't found any info on this. It would probably be very hard to get in so this is all hypothetical ahah.

Moving in and moving out when you’re from another continent already sounds like a nightmare (where would I put things like fans/laundry bins? surely can’t fly them over to my country and back) so I was wondering if there was a way to stay at Brown over the summer.
