Hiiii guys my Golf R didn't pass inspection :( cause my stock summer tires are nearing the end. The gentleman at the shop said to get Continental DWS06 tires and quoted me 1.5k for tires and alignment + labor. Tire rack has the same tires for 1000, but that's just the tires with no labor so I'll have to go to the shop to get them mounted anyway. What do you guys think I should do? Any other tires I should consider?

Hey everyone, I have a MK8 Golf R and I started the car after driving to the store and coming back to the car after, I was reaching into the back seat and accidentally pressed the gas pedal and the revs went up to 5k after which I realized what I had just done and turned around instantly. For the three temps, the bottom one was 200 something, the middle one was 160, and the top one wasn’t registered yet. I don’t this is too too bad, but I need second opinions. Thanks.
