Earlier I uploaded my Window AC experience in my government quarter.

where a lot of people asked me about wooden frame, typ design, style, where to buy etc etc.

1. I didn't buy this online

2. WINDOW AC installation guy will ask you to arrange this at your own

3. For this wooden frame contacted local carpenter and told him my AC dimensions

4. Do Not use plywood, use solid wood, without any crack or cut, just 4 solid planks.

5. For grill cutting there are two options

A - if bought from offline reliance store their installation guy carries Cutter and all, he'll do it but extra charges.

B. - If Window AC bought online then your have to arrange someone to cut your window grill prior to installation guy visit.

6. For Support Some people use L shape metal brackets, fixed on wall to give extra support to Window ac on outer side of Window.

( Cardboard was the only option available with me at that time, so temporarily fixed it, thinking about waterproof plywood for permanent solution)

# Quantity: 4 pieces

### Size: 2100 mm each These are the main legs.

## Top Frame

### 2 pieces: 1000 mm

### 2 pieces: 400 mm This makes top rectangle.

## Bottom Frame

Same again: * 2 x 1000 mm * 2 x 400 mm

## Middle Adjustable Support

### 2 pieces: 1000 mm These hold middle rod section.

## Hanging Rod 1 piece: 1000 mm round pipe

Best:19 mm round pipe.

Because hangers slide smoothly.

# 3. WHAT IS WELDED?

Only: # TOP & BOTTOM RECTANGLES NOT full rack.

# WHY ONLY THESE?

Because:

* these give rigidity

* maintain perfect shape

* reduce wobbling

But still: * rack can dismantle

* easier transport

* easy future modification

This is best compromise.

# 4. HOW TOP FRAME IS MADE

Take:

* 2 long pipes (1000 mm)

* 2 short pipes (400 mm)

Arrange rectangle shape.

Now: local welder joins all 4 corners.

# IMPORTANT:

Tell welder:

> “Make full weld and grind smooth.”

Otherwise ugly welding marks remain.

# RESULT

You now get one rigid rectangle Same process for bottom frame.

# 5. VERTICAL POSTS (MAIN LEGS)

These are 4 long vertical pipes.

Height: 2100 mm.

These connect top frame bottom frame using bolts.

# VERY IMPORTANT STEP:

# DRILLING HOLES

This is key feature of your adjustable design.

# HOW TO DRILL HOLES

On all 4 vertical pipes:

Start from: ## 600 mm above floor

Continue till: ## 1400 mm height

# Hole Gap

Keep: ## 50 mm spacing

Meaning: every 5 cm one hole.

# Hole Size

Use: ## 8 mm drill bit for M8 bolts.

# PURPOSE OF THESE HOLES

These allow: middle support adjustment

* changing clothes height

* future modification

# EXAMPLE

# Lower Position Good for: shirts T-shirts double hanging

## Higher Position

Good for: coats saree dresses long kurtas

Very flexible system.

# 6. T CONNECTOR SYSTEM

HOW IT WORKS

Middle support pipe inserts inside T connector.

Connector then: bolts to drilled hole locks position Very simple.

# 7. INSTALLING VERTICAL POSTS

Now: place bottom welded frame on floor.

Attach: 4 vertical posts using: M8 bolts

Use: washer both sides nut tightly

# IMPORTANT:

Keep rack on flat floor while assembling.

Otherwise alignment problem comes.

# 8. INSTALL REAR X BRACE

This is VERY important.

Without this: rack will shake sideways.

# MATERIAL Use: flat bar 20 x 3 mm Cheap and effective.

# INSTALLATION

Cross both strips like “X”.

Bolt at: * top corners * bottom corners

Now rack becomes stable.

# 9. INSTALLING MIDDLE ADJUSTABLE SUPPORT

This is easiest part.

# STEP 1

Insert T connectors on both vertical pipes.

# STEP 2

Choose desired height.

Example: 1000 mm from floor.

# STEP 3

Align connector hole with drilled pipe hole.

# STEP 4

Insert: ## M8 bolt

through: connector & pipe hole

Then: washer & nut

Tighten.

# RESULT

Middle support becomes:

* removable

* adjustable

* strong

# 10. INSTALL HANGING ROD

Use:

19 mm round pipe.

Place:

above middle support.

Use:

* T connectors

OR

* straight connectors

depending design.

# IMPORTANT

Keep:

minimum 50 mm gap from top shelf.

Otherwise hanger hook collides.

# 11. SHELF SUPPORTS

At bottom:

install small support pieces.

These hold wood shelf.

Can use: small L support OR welded tabs

# TOP SHELF

Use: ## MDF 18 mm

Why * lighter use * cheaper * smooth finish

# BOTTOM SHELF

Use: ## plywood 18 mm

Why?

* shoe weight

* moisture resistance

* stronger

Very smart cost optimization.

# 12. PAINTING PROCESS

# STEP 1 — Sanding

Use:

120 grit sandpaper.

Remove: rust oil

# STEP 2 — Primer

Apply: ## red oxide primer

with: brush foam roller

Dry: 8–12 hours.

# STEP 3 — Paint

Use: matte black enamel paint

Apply:2 coats.

Dry properly.

# IMPORTANT:

Foam roller gives smoother finish than brush.

Cheap but premium look.

# 13. ADJUSTABLE FEET

Install: M8 adjustable feet at bottom.

# WHY IMPORTANT?

Indian floors are never perfectly level.

Adjustable feet: * remove wobble

* protect floor Very useful.

## 2. Rear X brace mandatory Never skip.

## 4. Drill accurately Crooked holes create alignment issues.

## 60–70 kg Very safe for this design.

Bought from flipkart, 34xxx something

1. delivery was full chaos, item out for delivery then auto rescheduled for next day. then no delivery next day also. Contacted customer care, it was another headache ( BOT) she gave another day (2days later)

but 2 days over, no response again Contacted and again and again.tagged flipkart to twitter and everywhere, response was quick but same dialog WE ARE WORKING ON IT BLA BLA BLA..

Finally decided cancelation and consumer forum complaint, there things start moving and got my AC withing 2 days. (It was lying somewhere in Ecart store)

2. Setting up was another chaos, Didn't know I had to arrange some wood frame for installation, Installation guy told about this on the spot and any how, here there JUGADBAZI arranged wooden frame according to AC size and Finally Today Installation over.

(ignore the Cardboard, this is the best i could arrange quickly 😁, kindly suggest something )

3. AC is good, my friend had 2024 model and it worked flawlessly, so Bought one, its awesome 👌 Go for it if u need Window AC.
