Cool moment for a Little League team.

I coach a C league team just wanted to share a cool little story that happened today. Our manager decided to start handing out packs of baseball cards to the “best teammate of the game” after each game. Players nominate other teammates based upon good things they did that game. Not actual accomplishments in the game stat wise, but things like encouraging other players, picking up another player after he makes an error, or other ways of showing good sportsmanship.

After the nominations and handing out the pack for that game, all the players crowded around him to watch him open it. A stadium club pack. And what do you know he pulls an auto! A Ryan Johnson non-numbered auto. Everyone LOST THEIR MINDS!

It wasn’t a judge, it wasn’t an ohtani, but the rush of pulling an auto for that kid (and the team as a whole) was so fun to watch! Such a great first pack to open. So much fun!

Help convincing my father in law he’s getting scammed.

Long story short. My father in law is in his 70s and not quite all there. He’s not completely lost it, but his mind definitely isn’t as sharp as it used to be. Recently he talked to me about investing in crypto. He said that he got put in touch with a guy from Texas after calling the Cash App customer service number. I’m not sure how much he’s “invested” but it sounds like thousands or tens of thousands. Here’s the kicker. The guys name is Harvey Weinstein, he’s from Texas but has a Chicago number. He has him contact him using what’s app. And he’s given him his passport info.

But I can’t convince him this is a scam. He’s got substantial money to lose and his wife isn’t on anything so she doesn’t have access. He’s not an easy person to deal with. Very stubborn and will go to any length necessary to prove he’s not wrong.

What are my options here?

My wife and I have discussed getting him deemed medically unfit to handle his finances but that takes time and a lot of effort to actually get done, if we’re able to get it done at all.

We’ve thought about contacting him ourselves but don’t want to spook him and have him drain his accounts or something. We’re not exactly sure what he has access to, especially now that he has his passport info. Although I think if he could drain his accounts he would have done it already.

I told him point blank it’s a scam and he just keeps saying, “Well I’ll have to talk to him about this then…” 🙄

Also we go to the police? Hell I’ve even thought about contacting scam baiters I’ve seen on YouTube…

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

I can’t believe the series of events that just happened. Bought a new 5 gal gas can from Amazon. Get it. Fill it up. Cool right? Well I go to fill my zero turn and turns out the nozzle is broken and no gas will come out. Ok fine I’ve got another one. As I’m putting that on the new gas can it breaks🙄. Fiiiiiiine. I’ve got ONE more. Put that on and as im filling up the mower tank the red piece that needs to be depressed to allow flow BREAKS OFF AND FALLS INTO THE GAS TANK!!!!!

I can’t even see it to try and get it out.

This is my first riding lawn mower so I don’t know much about how to even go about fixing this. All I know is that having a big chuck on plastic in your gas tank PROBABLY isn’t a good thing…

Can anyone advise what my next steps should be? I’d appreciate any help at this point.
