Is a lower priced robot mower realistic for a 600㎡ yard?

I’ve been taking care of my own yard for years, but my back is starting to complain, so I’m thinking about getting a robot mower. The lawn is around 600㎡, and I’m trying to keep the cost reasonable instead of spending a huge amount on something I’m not fully sure about yet.

My main concern is reliability. I don’t need anything fancy, but I do want it to cover the whole lawn without leaving random patches everywhere. I’m also wondering how often these things get stuck, wander into places they shouldn’t, or need someone to go outside and fix them.

I’ve read a lot of mixed opinions on the more affordable models. Some people seem happy after a season, while others make it sound like they’re constantly babysitting the mower.

For anyone using a lower priced robot mower on a yard around this size, has it actually been worth it, or would you rather just hire someone to handle the mowing?

Does anyone else regret not switching to a robot lawn mower sooner?

Seriously, why are we still obsessed with spending our entire Saturday mornings stuck behind a push mower, smelling like gasoline and vibrating from head to toe?

My neighbor does this every weekend. A few years ago he used to say he liked it… now it’s mostly back pain and “I’ll rest after this.”

Used to be in the same boat tbh. Just assume that’s how it is.

A couple months ago I started looking into robot lawn mowers, mostly out of curiosity. I’ve got a pretty average yard, front and back, flat with some gentle slopes, and I was mainly trying to avoid running boundary wire if possible.

Looked at a few options, Husqvarna was honestly out of my budget, and worx still needed perimeter wire. Ended up trying one of the newer brands, Anthbot. Mostly because it didn’t cost an arm and a leg compared to the big names and didn’t need wires.

Been using it for about 3 months now. I usually have it run like 2–3 times a week. Setup was a bit annoying at first. It still gets a little confused in one corner of my yard, but once I found a good spot for the antenna and base station, I haven’t had that problem since. It handles like 90% of the work, all I do is go back and edge.

So, what’s the actual barrier? Are people just scared of the tech, or do we secretly love having something to complain about?

First print on the Creality SparkX i7, small flower pot test

Finally got my Creality SparkX i7 set up and started running a few simple prints.

The setup was easier than I expected. It did not take long to get everything together, and I was printing pretty soon after. I was a little unsure at first because this is my first open-frame printer, but so far it has been quieter than I thought it would be.

I printed this little flower pot as one of my first tests. I wanted something with curves and a clean outer surface, not just a flat calibration piece. The first layer went down nicely, and the walls came out pretty smooth without much adjusting from me.

The CFS side is also interesting so far. I’m still learning the full workflow, but it feels pretty beginner-friendly for multicolor or filament switching. Nothing too complicated yet, just trying to get comfortable with the machine.

Overall, first impression is pretty positive. It feels easy to start with, quiet enough for a small room, and the print quality looks good for an early test.

Anyone else using the SparkX i7 for small home prints or planter-style models? Curious what filaments and settings you’ve had good results with.

How are you feeling about Solana this month?

Solana is basically stuck in a wide range between $76 and $97 at the moment. There isn't much trend conviction since we’re sitting under some key moving averages, so it feels like a lot of sideways movement in the short term. Instead of stressing over timing the bottom, I’ve been running a grid bot on bydfi to scalp the volatility in this zone.

I usually set the bot bounds just inside those support and resistance levels to make sure it's catching the most frequent swings without getting caught on the extremes. it’s been easier than trying to guess where the market goes next while the macro environment is uncertain.

If we end up breaking below that $76 support, I will likely pull the plug and wait for the next signal. I will not be interested in holding a bag if the floor drops out, but for now, the range seems to be holding up well. I'm just playing the volatility and staying patient until we see a real breakout.

How are you guys trading solana this month?

Thinking about UDPower S1200 for outages

Been looking at portable power stations for outages and storm season, but honestly there are so many options it’s kind of hard to tell what actually makes sense anymore.

Mainly I just want something for the usual short outages: running a fan, charging phones, maybe keeping a router going, and occasionally powering a couple small things so it’s not totally uncomfortable when the power cuts.

I came across the UDPower S1200 and it looks decent on paper with the LiFePO4 battery and 1200W output, which seems like a middle ground size, not too small but not one of those huge expensive setups either.

What I’m not sure about is how it actually behaves in real use. Does it hold charge well if it sits for a while, is the fan noise noticeable at night, and can it realistically handle small kitchen appliances for short periods without issues? Also wondering if there are any reliability problems after using it for a few months.

I’m not trying to run everything in the house, just want something dependable. Is 1200W usually enough for this kind of use, or do people end up wishing they went bigger?

How are we feeling about Sol going into May?

Sol is looking indecisive now as we head into the new month. we are currently sitting below some key moving averages, and even though indicators show a bit hope, there is zero trend conviction. it mostly feels like we are stuck in a wide range between our recent swing low around $76 and the local high near $97.

Given the current macro environment, I’m expecting more of sideways chop. i have stopped trying to time the bottom because it feels like a losing game. instead, I just ran grid bot on bydfi to scalp the volatility between that $76 support and $97 resistance. i usually keep my actual grid bounds tucked inside those extreme highs and lows so the bot reliably catches the swings. I‘m watching these levels closely; if we lose $76, I’ll step back so I don't end up holding a bag.

What is your play for Sol this month?

Btc's 80k feels good but still waiting on my 95k entry to break

btc finally pushed back to 80k I’m still stuck with 95k entry, but the on-chain data is making me feel better about a potential recovery.

we just absorbed a massive spike in realized profit taking at the 80k mark without the price dumping. usually, that’s old holders cashing out while new money steps in to floor the price.

from what i've seen in past cycles, we don't really hit the macro top until realized profits are hitting the billions, and right now we're only at a one-month high. the options market also looks like it's positioning for a slow grind up rather than a vertical pump. ppl are still paying for downside protection but there is still demand for calls. i’ve mostly been running a dca bot on bydfi lately and probably switch to a grid bot if it starts chopping sideways again.

do you guys think we could break 126k ath at the end of the year?

under 450 pocket cam for travel and sports clips

Trying to pick up a small camera mostly for travel, gym clips, cycling and random daily videos.

My phone is fine but I kinda want something with better stabilization and a more camera like feel. I dont really want a big mirrorless setup because I know I wont carry it.

Current options I am looking at

DJI Pocket 3

XTRA Muse (cheaper and seems like it already covers most casual video needs)

OP4 Pro/Muse 2 Pro (tempting if the new one is actually close to the rumored specs)

Insta Luma

I dont need pro work quality. Mostly TikTok, IG, travel memories, and some sports related clips.

Would you go proven and spend more, go cheaper now, or wait for the new stuff to drop?

I’ve been looking into at-home RF facial devices lately, mostly because I’m trying to find something decent as a Mother’s Day gift. I keep seeing people say they can help with mild lifting, tighter-looking skin, and jawline definition, but I’m not sure how much of that is real and how much is just good before-and-after lighting.

The idea sounds nice because it seems less intense than going in for treatments, and the sessions are usually pretty short. But I also know skincare gadgets can be hit or miss, especially when the results take weeks or months to show up.

I’m mainly curious about long-term use. Did you notice any actual difference after using one consistently, or was it more of a temporary “skin looks a bit better today” thing?

For anyone who has tried an at-home RF device, did it actually work over time?

Curious if RF skincare devices do anything noticeable

I’ve been thinking about getting an at-home RF device for someone, but I’m having a hard time figuring out how real the results are. A lot of them say they help with tighter-looking skin or a more defined lower face area, but skincare gadgets always make me a little skeptical.

I don’t mind slow results if they’re actually there. I just don’t want to get something that feels nice for five minutes but doesn’t really change anything after the novelty wears off.

For people who have actually used one regularly, what was your experience like? Did you need to use it for months before noticing anything, or was it more of a short-term glow/firmness effect?

Would you say at-home RF devices are worth adding to a routine, or mostly not worth the effort?

btc finally break 80k again. I entered at 95k and just waited for recovery.

I’ve been digging into some on-chain stuff today and this breakout actually looks… decent? we just absorbed a massive spike in realized profit taking at the 80k mark without a major sell-off. usually, that’s just the older holders cashing out while new money steps in, which helps floor the price since the new buyers aren't as likely to panic sell.

also, that $207m profit print is only a one month high. from what I’ve seen in past cycles, we usually don't see the real top until those realized profits hit the billions.

even the options market looks like it's positioning for a "slow grind up" rather than a massive pump. people are still paying for downside protection (the caution is real), but there’s demand for those cheap call ratios. as long as the U.S. and Iran tensions don’t blow everything up, I’m fine with that.

personally, I’m gonna HODL even when it passes my entry price. I’ve mostly been running a dca bot on bydfi lately to stop myself from overtrading, and I’ll probably switch to a grid bot if things get choppy again.

What’s the sentiment here? You guys think we’re gonna push past that 126k ATH this year?

I already have the Spark i7 and have been testing it with a few prints, so I wanted to compare notes with other people using the same machine.

So far it feels like a pretty big jump from the older Ender style printers. The speed difference is obvious, setup feels more automatic, and the first prints came out better than I expected without too much manual adjusting.

But I’m still curious about the deeper stuff that only shows up after more use. How has the i7 been for you after a few weeks or months? Does the auto leveling stay consistent? Are longer prints stable? Do the default profiles hold up, or did you have to change a lot of settings?

I’m also wondering about the common pain points. Any issues with bed adhesion, filament detection, purge settings, multicolor prints, firmware, the app, or general maintenance?

For anyone who came from an Ender 3 V3 or older Ender machine, does the i7 still feel like a real upgrade after the first few prints? What do you like most, and what would you warn new owners about?

Is it better to apply for Mexican dual citizenship yourself or use a service?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently looking into getting Mexican dual citizenship through family, and I’m a bit stuck on how to approach it.

For those who’ve already gone through the process:

Did you handle everything yourself or use a service?

Was it actually manageable on your own?

What part of the process was the most difficult?

Do services really save time, or are they not worth it?

Just trying to understand the real experience before I start—any insights would help a lot
