Being a biker, is it being free?

It was following a post by Valootre on Twitter (or should I now say X.com following the name change) that the idea for this reflection came to me: "Does being biker is to be free? In addition, the weather at the beginning of August in Belgium encourages reflection.

Being a biker is much more than a simple leisure activity, it is a way of life that gives rise to many reflections on the notion of freedom. The motorcycle embodies the idea of freedom, escape and independence, thus attracting many enthusiasts who see in this practice a way to stand out and free themselves from the constraints of everyday life. But does this enthusiasm for motorcycling really reflect a search for freedom or is it just an illusion?

In this article, we will explore the different aspects of the biker life in relation to freedom. We will examine how the motorcycle can be perceived as a symbol of freedom, both physical and mental, but also how it can imply certain constraints and responsibilities inherent in the practice of driving.

This is an aspect that I hesitated to develop, but in the age of easily accessible media and social networks, I had to talk about it.
