Arbor vitae- trim/top or take all down?

Previous owner planted these with his house. They will get huge and are very close together. 12 trees total (one looks like a different tree).

I like the privacy and natural look of trees but I’m worried about how big they will get. Should I top them and trim them or take them all out and replace with slower growing and smaller trees?

Can they be trimmed so they maintain a tree like look or do they just become high maintenance cones or bushes?

Thanks!

There seems to be a crack going into the adaptor of the hose that supplies the drip irrigation in my backyard. Does this piece just unscrew from the white PVC and can be replaced by a new part in the hose?

Less than 1000 sq ft and pretty much obstacle free except sprinkler heads in corners. I was thinking of something only RTK/vision based but concerned about poor cell service in the area. WiFi is strong in the backyard though.

Also can the base/garage be placed under the patio with a roof where the circle is?
