Serpent on a staff.

Did this comparison ever confuse anyone? The confusion I had when Moses raised a serpent on a staff was that I always had Satan in my mind represented by a serpent/snake. And why would Moses make some kind of idol? Is there any kind of religious importance serpents had back then that would make this make sense? Everyone compares the serpent on the staff as Jesus being raised up on the cross. Just always seemed a little backwards.

Terminal fuse keeps blowing

I have an 18 ram 3500. I just changed the alternator, belt and batteries. What prompted the repairs was low voltage light. I did the batteries, then belt and alternator and found the problem was still there. I checked the 250 amp terminal fuse and it was burnt up. Now about a month later I have the light on again and showing 12 volts. Im not able to check the fuse yet, but pretty sure it's toast. Does anyone know if there is a common issue that causes this or where I might look? Thanks.
