Got an hp pavilion gaming pc for super cheap and got an extra stick of timetec 8gig ram to go with the existing hp stick of 8gig ram and it’s not booting, the power light turns on and the fans spin but no display or keyboard lights. I’ve tried everything I can think of, reset cmos, cleaned the socket, tried just the timetec stick in the slot the hp ram works in, left it there for like 20 minutes and still nothing.

Any ideas or is the ram toast?

What’s up, just got an optiplex 7050 i7 and put a rtx 3050 in it, planning on using it for light gaming. Any advice on what os to install? Thanks!
