Moving to Dallas area this summer, would appreciate advice on neighborhoods, towns and schools.
Hi! Hoping to get some info from those who live in the area! My family and I are relocating to TEXAS!!! I am super excited but so nervous bc I am from a smaller town in the Midwest and have never even been to Texas. We are temporarily going to be staying in the FW area but are looking at a few towns that were recommended as the new job is in Mansfield. (We’re okay with a little commute)
I would be so GRATEFUL for the info, specifically on schools as we have been at a Catholic school that’s like family to us and are hoping to find the same type in one of the towns. If they all suck, point me in the direction of some homeschool groups haha
If you could when giving recommendations on the towns, lmk what neighborhoods you like, safety, schools, what the traffic is like (I hear it’s insane so I’m terrified haha)
What your average day at a grocery store is like/does it take forever to get to one. Most importantly, is there a Costco nearby 🤣 I like Sam’s too.
Maybe other tips like what are the critters like/how often will I see them. Must haves when living in Texas and maybe some basic rules Texans stick by 🤪

Following towns… Grapevine, flower mound, Krum, Saginaw, Grand Prairie, Burleson and Azle. Forgive me if I spell them wrong lol I was writing them down as I was being told.
