If this is normal and a stupid question please let me know. I bought the invincible compendium a few days ago and have been reading it. I just noticed this on the corner of 2 of the pages. What is it and is this common?

I've literally just gotten the gun when I rescued the person in the mill. Then, I went to use it on the door and it just doesn't do anything. It just makes the sound but the door doesn't go down. What should i do?
