FW apartments

I’m planning on moving to FW in the next month or two (if I can ever find a job up there) and I am looking for a 1 bedroom with in-unit washer, dryer, dishwasher, a patio and not a super crazy parking situation. (I want friends to be able to visit and not have to worry about getting a ticket or towed). I would also like somewhere with a gate. I don’t think I would be able to afford a garage.

I’m so excited to move but I really feel like I can’t tour apartments until I find a job.

I like the central/southwestern part of FW. I was looking at apartments on W 7th but I’m nervous after the April flooding.

I currently pay $1150 for a 2 bedroom rent house so I would like to stay around that. I will not have to pay for a lawnmower, gas, etc… in an apartment. I have lived in apartments before so I am familiar with the price increase each year so I also have to account for that.

Does anyone have any recs or advice for a 29 year old female who is moving a hour and a half away and will be living alone? Most I can pay is $1200ish. Does this exist?

So for context; I am 29 and I got my bachelor’s in Fashion Merchandising, worked in retail then started subbing, got my alt cert and have been teaching the last 4 years.

I’m moving a hour and a half away and trying to find a job. I thought I would not have any problem finding something within my major or something that had transferable skills. I have applied to 96 jobs on LinkedIn, I have applied to about 9 districts and 20 different schools. My 5th interview is on Wednesday. I thought I could leave the classroom and got humbled so I have been applying literally everywhere.

I’m trusting everything will work out but I’m getting scared. School is over in 20ish days and I’m terrified I will be unemployed.

To be honest; I don’t really enjoy working but I would like something M-F 9-5, maybe even remote. I’m over the abuse I receive teaching, but I would rather be a teacher than unemployed (if I can even find that.) I love the breaks and knowing when I will be off. I’ve thought about nonprofit work, Human Resources, corporate training.

I enjoy books, music, movies, history, art, food, and public spaces. Everything I’m applying for; I’m getting a rejection email. Does anyone have any advice?
