Perfume smelling like alcohol

I recently received a sample of Séxūal Gold Vanille by Michel Germain from Scentbird and it’s very highly reviewed but when I spray it on myself it smells so much like straight alcohol. It doesn’t mellow out over time or anything, has anyone experienced the same thing? Why is this happening for me and how can I circumvent it? If I smell the nozzle it smells really great it’s just spraying it makes some awful alcohol smell and it sticks on my skin.

The first photo is under artificial lighting two days ago, the second is yesterday in natural light.

I’ve never had something like this happen so I’m unsure as to what it could be. It seems to change a little day to day and is only occasionally and very mildly itchy. I haven’t worn any jewelry out of the norm. The only thing I can think of is I started using the ponds rejuveness cream maybe a week or two ago, but I usually only put it in my face (which is not breaking out) and my chest a few times.

Any advice is appreciated!
