Looking for an air purifier that ACTUALLY made a noticeable difference in your room/home. Not influencer reviews or sponsored stuff — real experience only. What brand + model do you personally recommend after long-term use?
We’re about to have a newborn at home, so I’m looking for an air purifier that actually makes a noticeable difference in air quality.
Would really appreciate recommendations based on real long-term experience — especially for dust, smells, allergies, or cleaner air for babies.
What brand + model would you buy again?
🪑 Long hours at your desk? Forgetting to move, drink water, or take breaks?
Standly is built exactly for that.
⏰ It reminds you to stand up, stretch, and reset your body throughout the day — simple habits that actually improve your energy and focus.
💧 Stay hydrated with smart water reminders
🧍 Break the “sitting all day” cycle
📈 Build healthier office routines without thinking about it
🍽️ Even helps you manage meal timing during busy workdays (coming soon)
No complicated setup. No distractions. Just small daily nudges that keep you feeling better at work.
💡 Built from real office struggles — because I needed it myself first.
I spend most of my day sitting at a desk, and at some point I realized my routine was pretty unhealthy — hours without moving, forgetting to drink water, skipping breaks, even eating at random times.
So I built a simple app to fix that.
It reminds me to stand up, stretch, drink water, and take short breaks during work. Nothing complicated — just small nudges that actually make a difference over time. I’ve also been thinking about adding features like meal reminders or even quick office-friendly food ordering ideas, because honestly, that’s another struggle during busy days.
Started using it myself first, and it’s been surprisingly helpful. Curious if anyone else has the same problem with office routines or if you’re already using something similar.
In 1669, an alchemist was trying to create the “philosopher’s stone” and ended up heating urine instead. Instead of gold, he discovered a glowing substance that could shine in the dark — which turned out to be phosphorus.
So basically, a failed experiment led to something completely new that we still use in matches and fertilizers today.

I work in an office and spend almost 8 hours looking at a monitor every day. Most of the time I forget simple things like drinking water, standing up, or resting my eyes for a few minutes.
Another thing is lunch time. Me and my coworkers always spend too much time thinking about what to eat or where to order from.
So I started using a small system for myself:
- water reminders
- stand up / eye break notifications
- lunch suggestions based on what I want to eat
- quick restaurant recommendations nearby through Wolt
- reminder before work ends
Surprisingly it made office days feel less chaotic.
Curious if other office workers have the same problem or already use something similar?
Oxford University existed before the Aztec Empire. Crazy to think about.
That’s why I’m building Standly:
- simple daily flow
- order for you (just say i want to eat pizza app will be find nearest pizza from wolt for you)
- task nudges
- “hey go eat something” reminders
- stand up reminders for office people
- smooth relaxing UI animations
Tiny habits > overwhelming systems.
Coding is getting easier with AI tools now, but making an app actually feel good is still hard for me.
I mean those tiny details like smooth animations, clean transitions, buttons feeling “alive”, nice onboarding screens — the stuff that makes people instantly like using an app.
When I compare some indie apps to apps like TikTok, Duolingo or Airbnb, the difference is obvious even if the features are similar.
What do good designers/developers focus on to reach that level?
Is it mostly animation timing, UX psychology, spacing/colors, or just experience over time?
AI and coding are becoming easier to figure out, but making an app actually feel premium still seems hard.
I’m talking about smooth transitions, satisfying micro animations, clean onboarding, playful interactions etc.
What usually separates a “normal app” from an app that instantly feels polished and enjoyable to use?
Any resources, designers, principles or tips worth studying?
We just updated the notification open/close animations in Standly and now the app feels way more alive.
But does it actually feel better to you? Or am I overthinking pixels again 😭
