Day 142 of asking if anyone knows what kind of chicken this guy is

He is a bantam !
Both my husband and I work a 9-5. Right now, the chickens are in a temporary coop/run that I can wheel out from the garage into the backyard so they can peck at the grass. We're working on converting our shed into a coop and having a fenced in run connected to it.
They really love to be able to run around in the grass all day, but I'm worried something might happen to them (hawk, raccoon, coyote, stray cats) in the daytime while we're gone.
Should I keep them in the coop and only let them out into the run when I can supervise them? Or should I just super reinforce the run so there's no chance anything can get in or out?
Thank you in advance!
