I have never been in that situation so I can’t wrap my head around it. I have listened to many interviews from true crime stories and pedo catchers but they don’t go deep into the reasoning. I know there are a few types of people that like underage people and there are varying reasons for each (power, control, loneliness) but specifically I’m talking about people that have gone down that path due to being touched inappropriately as a child.
Me (f 30) and my bf (m 35) have been dating for over a year. We met through insta and hinge. He’s a very sweet guy and I hang out with him and his family often. The major problem we’ve had is that he won’t ever post me even when I tell him how much it would mean to me. We both are on instagram a lot (I post for work and he’s on it everyday because all of his friends also use it often). However he hasn’t posted in 2 years so at first I didn’t make a big deal of it but a few times out of the year he’s posted stories of him and his family so why couldn’t he quickly post me? Early in our relationship I saw how many models pics he had been liking and I told him why that hurt me. Now 10 months later I had brought up posting me many times but he just laughs it off saying he doesn’t post on insta.. after this I decided to look through his DMs and I found many models he had been massaging (maybe 10) just responding to their stories and asking them if they were in our city/ saying “beautiful”/ asking if he can teach them to play a sport.. I was shaking. These girls are stunning and I’m also pretty (as I am a signed model) but it definitely made me think about our relationship. I don’t know what to do or what guys are thinking about in that moment when they do that.
TD;LR: bf wouldn’t post me even after many times of saying how much it would mean to me. We’ve been dating for over a year and while he was sleeping I decided to look through his DMs and found at least 10 models he had been messaging saying how pretty they are and asking them if they are in our area. He doesn’t seem like the person that would ever cheat or look at women in that way so it caught me off guard. Why do men do this? (Women can do this too but I feel like I’ve seen a lot of similar situations on Reddit)
