Day 7 of the award explanations (even though most of them are easy to understand) and suggestions for improving them

Here’s the ‘Thanks’ award. It shows two blue hands making a sign of gratitude. It’s often used under posts to say thank you (as the name suggests) or to acknowledge a kind gesture. To improve it, we could either imagine human hands instead of the blue ones, or perhaps slightly more cartoonish hands, a bit like Mickey Mouse’s. But overall, I really like the design! Thanks to everyone!

Day 6 of the award explanations (even though most of them are easy to understand) and suggestions for improving them

Here is the Hooray award. It shows a party hat with confetti spilling out of it. This is often used under posts that show achievements, such as the completion of a project, or posts sharing very good news. To improve it, we could come up with special versions tailored to specific subreddits. In subreddits about films or TV series, we could imagine that if a character is wearing a helmet, the confetti comes out of it like Darth Vader's helmet, for example. Or we could also imagine a mix with the exploding brain award, where the explosion is made of confetti! Thanks to everyone!

A spectacular roll cloud was spotted in Brazil on 2 May! This cloud resembles a giant wave and is formed by a thermal contrast between warm air at ground level and cold air at higher altitudes or coming in from the sea.

Day 5 of the award explanations (even though most of them are easy to understand) and suggestions for improving them

Here’s the Popcorn award. It shows a popcorn bucket. I think this one is often used under interesting or absorbing posts, and under posts related to cinema. To improve it, we could come up with special versions for different subreddits, just like in real life with the Yoshi bucket. Thank you all!

Vote for your favourite award!

I often see questions on this subreddit asking what people’s favourite award is. So I’ve created this poll where you can all vote to decide which award will be crowned the best! Thanks to everyone who replies !

Keep fighting for your favourite generation!

Hi everyone!

A while back, I created this poll. It received 400 responses, so here are the generations people prefer! Please keep voting for your favourite so we can have a poll that’s more representative of our Pokemon community!

Thanks to everyone who votes, here’s the link: https://forms.gle/VXMT1EfstzLgdRbH8

Day 4 of the award explanations (even though most of them are easy to understand) and suggestions for improving them

Here’s the broken heart award. It shows a blue broken heart. It’s often used under posts that show us sad things or bad news. It’s sort of the free version of the two crying faces. To improve it, I think we could make it red. Apart from that, I think the design is good.

Sharks’ teeth aren’t attached to bone, as they are for us. They’re embedded in the skin, on a movable gum. And most importantly, they fall out and grow back throughout their entire lives. Some species, like the tiger shark, can produce up to 30,000 teeth in their lifetime!

This dinosaur or snake award (let me know if you know which one it is) always reminds me of Arlo in "The Good Dinosaur"

Day 3 of the award explanations (even though most of them are easy to understand) and suggestions for improving them

Here is the “exploding head” award. It shows a purple head with a brain that's exploding. This award is often used under a post with something incredible or crazy that's almost hard to believe ! I think to improve it, we could start by changing its color, since there’s already another award with a purple head (the one that’s thinking). This one could become orange, since that’s a color not yet represented in the awards. We could also just add color to the explosion and not keep it purple like the rest of the head. What comes out of the explosion could also vary by subreddit. For example, video games in gaming communities, aliens in alien-related communities... Thanks, everyone!

Day 2 of the award explanations (even though most of them are easy to understand) and suggestions for improving them

Here is the “Happy Heart” award. It shows us a heart that’s smiling almost shyly. This heart is often used under positive posts. For example, ones that share good news or something joyful. There’s already an upgraded version of it: the heart with heart-shaped eyes, which is even happier and better designed, but it’s a paid version! Thank you, everyone!

Day 1 of the award explanations (even though most of them are easy to understand) and suggestions for improving them

Here’s the “Bravo” award. It features two green hands clapping. It’s a way to show that a post is high-quality (my post is way too serious for something so easy to understand). To improve it, we could come up with different versions depending on the community. For example, hands of popular characters for movie, TV, and book communities... or hands made of recognizable materials, like wooden hands for nature subreddits or stone hands for geology subreddits. Thanks, everyone!
