any idea who this might be? i have a little moth log and i like logging the species for the ones that i find. i’m guessing it’s a girl because her antennae are pretty thin but you can only really see one in the 2nd photo. found indoors in the northeastern united states.

this was a (semi-quick) sketch i did in class today. couldn’t find a good pose ref so i used a pose maker-y thing (2nd slide). at first, i traced from that pose ref quite a bit but then erased a lot of it and did my own thing. looking back at it i feel like maybe unconscious girl’s head is too big, perhaps messed up perspective wise. for the one holding her, i couldn’t really get the facial expression right. i’m sure i could fix it if i tried a few more times but she’s supposed to look shocked and remorseful. her lower hand is a more pressing issue; i can’t seem to get it right. overall i feel like the the poses aren’t flowing properly. for the record, the upper hand is meant to be supporting the unconscious girl’s neck (putting pressure on an injury).

any advice on how to make the poses more fluid and/or anatomically correct would be appreciated. thanks!!
