Should I continue getting highlights or go natural?

First pic is my hair right now, next two are right after getting highlights, last pic is natural

I’m almost 30 and my heart breaks for the 22 year old girl who graduated college and was excited to begin working and living in the city. I’ve experienced so much set back from work, felt completely lost in my career, have no romantic leads and little to no social support. I feel like I’m grieving the life I thought I’d have, and at least be in a serious relationship by now. I have a few friends but they’re not that reliable and whenever I try to put myself out there I’m disappointed. It seems like I’m locked out of having a beautiful life with good friends, a stable partner, a career I like, etc. Everyone else has access to those things, but I’m left to fend for myself for some reason. It feels like I’ve taken too many wrong turns and now I’ve missed the boat to meet somebody. It hurts because there’s nothing I want more than to be a wife and mom. It’s like I would be perfect for the role, but the universe chooses to make me suffer instead.
