Budget:
1000$ / 3500 Aed
Country:
United Arab Emirates
Use case:
Triple A games at a high fps
Preferred specs:
The ultra core i9 and the rtx 5060
Notes:
I'm torn between two very different machines and could use some input. I’m looking at the Lenovo LOQ 15 AI Gaming (Ryzen 7 250, RTX 5060, 16GB RAM, 512 GB STORAGE) versus a Dell Precision 15 3591 (RTX 2000ADA, ultra core i9,16 GB RAM, 512 GB STORAGE) workstation. I know the LOQ is built for pure gaming performance and higher frames, but the Precision is a tank with professional-grade stability. Is it worth sacrificing the gaming-optimized GPU and 144Hz screen of the LOQ to get the better build quality and ISV certifications of the Dell? I’ll be using it for a mix of gaming and heavier workloads.
EXTRA PROBLEM:
The deals i have found are roughly the same price while on amazon the dell goes for 3000 aed more. the guy has opened the dells original packaging once gets the processor part wrong saying it is ddr4 instead of 5 but later in the description corrects it has a lot of other listings but for different computers but the laptop does have a warranty. Should i risk it?
Hey everyone, I’m stuck between two configurations for a Lenovo LOQ 15 and could use some advice on which trade-off makes more sense for the long run.
Option A (Cheaper):
- GPU: RTX 5060 (8GB)
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 250
- RAM: 16GB
- Storage: 512GB SSD
Option B (More Expensive):
- GPU: RTX 5050 (8GB)
- CPU: Intel Core i7-13650HX
- RAM: 24GB
- Storage: 1TB SSD
The Dilemma: Option A has the better GPU and is actually the cheaper of the two. However, Option B comes with an extra 8GB of RAM (24GB total) and double the storage (1TB).
Is the performance jump from a 5050 to a 5060 significant enough to justify having less storage and RAM out of the box? I know RAM and SSDs are usually upgradable, but I’m curious if the 5060 is "must-have" territory or if the Intel/24GB/1TB combo is a better "all-in-one" deal. plus the b comes with a warranty a does not
What would you pick for a mix of gaming and school/work? Thanks!
