Tipo Shopify, Databricks, Microsoft etc. Vejo muito estudante de fora fazendo, mas quase nunca brasileiro comentando sobre isso.
Queria saber se empresas assim realmente aceitam estudante internacional vindo do Brasil e como foi a experiência/processo.

I recently started looking into projects through Outlier AI and wanted to get a realistic view of how the platform is doing right now in 2026.
My background:
Mid-level Data Engineer (currently working with a lot of ownership/autonomy)
Python / PySpark / SQL / Databricks
Strong ML + Data Science background from both research and practical work
Experience with applied AI, analytics, forecasting, and LLM integrations
I’ve seen pretty mixed opinions online, some people say there’s still plenty of work, while others mention long waiting periods, inconsistent projects, or increased competition lately.
So I wanted to ask people who are actively using the platform right now:
Are you still consistently getting projects/tasks?
How long did it take to land your first project?
Does a Data Engineering + ML profile tend to perform well there?
Is the work relatively stable nowadays, or more sporadic?
Any tips for standing out during onboarding/interviews?
Would really appreciate honest experiences from people currently working there.

Queria uma opinião mais estratégica da galera que já está no mercado.
Contexto rápido sobre mim:
- Estudante de Ciência da Computação em uma boa federal, finalizando o curso;
- Atualmente atuo como Data Engineer (Databricks, PySpark, Kafka, pipelines batch/streaming) numa empresa gringa, mas que paga bem abaixo… :,)
- Experiência com projetos reais (integração de sistemas, migração de dados, pipelines em produção)
- Também tenho um background forte em pesquisa (2 anos e meio+) com ML (PyTorch, TensorFlow, redes neurais), com artigos publicados internacionalmente e participação em conferências (A1)
- E estou desenvolvendo um projeto pessoal mais voltado pra engenharia de software (não sou muito fã de software puro, mas tenho visto que é importante ter essa base) usando LLMs, RAG, LangChain e agentes (integração com APIs tipo OpenAI/Anthropic)
Ou seja, hoje estou meio “no meio do caminho” entre:
→ Engenharia de Dados
→ Data Science / IA aplicada
Minha dúvida é mais de posicionamento mesmo.
Vale mais a pena:
- Aprofundar forte em Engenharia de Dados (escala, arquitetura, sistemas distribuídos)?
- Migrar mais pra IA / LLMs / sistemas inteligentes?
- Ou tentar manter um perfil híbrido (tipo AI Engineer)?
Tenho visto muita hype em IA (principalmente com LLMs), mas também sei que Engenharia de Dados tem uma base muito sólida de mercado.
Queria ouvir de vocês:
- O que está mais valorizado hoje de verdade (não só hype)?
- O que tende a ter melhor crescimento nos próximos anos?
- E, principalmente, o que faz mais sentido dado meu perfil atual?

I’m currently looking for junior / mid-level opportunities in Data Engineering, Data Science, or AI, preferably remote roles open to LATAM.
I’ve already applied to ~20 positions through LinkedIn, but I feel like I might not be looking in the right places (or maybe missing better sources).
So I wanted to ask:
- What companies are good for early-career roles in data (DE / DS / ML)?
- Any companies that are known to hire from LATAM?
- Are there better job boards / communities I should be using?
I’ve seen some remote LATAM-friendly roles (like junior data engineer positions at companies similar to Dev.Pro or consulting-type firms) but they seem a bit scattered
