What's wrong with People On the Internet
As someone from Himachal Pradesh, whenever I see racist posts or hateful comments against Bihar and Biharis, I genuinely feel bad. I often think about how hurtful it must feel for the people of Bihar themselves. Please don’t do this.
We forget that Bihar has produced countless IAS officers, government officials, doctors, scholars, and highly respected professionals who contribute to the entire country. Yes, Bihar has problems like corruption, illiteracy, and backward thinking in some areas — but tell me honestly, which state in India is completely free from these issues? Almost every state struggles with them in one way or another.
Bihar deserves the same respect as every other state in India.
And if an individual from Bihar comes to your state and behaves badly — whether it’s littering, spitting gutka, or doing something wrong — then treat that person as an individual. Correct them as a person. But don’t generalize millions of people because of one person’s actions. Don’t say, “You are from Bihar, so you people are like this.”
Please stop this racism and stereotyping. It hurts real people. Biharis are also part of this country, just like everyone else. We should spread respect, not hate.
