Little bit of background. me 16M and this girl 16F are relatively good friends. she says hi to me, we talk pretty often (don’t have her number) but she only comes and says hi when her younger brother isn’t there. To the point where you’d think she is completely uninterested when he is there and when he’s not, i can’t get her away from me(like we were talking and as the conversation went on she inched closer and closer, we were probably 6 inches apart by the time i had to go, i kinda made it awkward didn’t really say anything but i probably should have gotten her number then.). he just recently found out i like her.. at first i think he was on board with that idea but it’s been a couple days since he found out and i don’t think he’s very keen on it anymore. 2 days ago she had him invite me to come play pickle-ball. i dropped off some of my friends (at the time she was playing. looked happy?) then I had to go get some stuff from the store. only took me like 10-15 minutes but when i get back. oh boy oh boy. i see everyone playing but her. she’s sat down on the side of the court head in her phone. when i said hi she looked up and said hi back. but i’m curious what happened after i left. from what her little brother told me she got annoyed i came (she wanted me to be there) but if i wasn’t there how could i be at fault? did i mess up bringing my friends?.. Last night i saw her little brother again.. Now that he knows i like her he does not shut up about it. first thing he says to me is “bro just go kiss her already it’s painful to watch” and not even 5 minutes later i asked “should i get her number?” and completely flipped on his head “bro she doesn’t want your number believe me” so which version of him do i believe. he’s 100% not a trustworthy source of information but at the same time if he doesn’t want me talking to her then why is he making a bunch of jokes about it..?? I feel like there is something going on that they aren’t telling me because of how opposite she is from him. there are a bunch of holes in this so maybe she’s trying to hide that’s she likes me from him? no idea.

There’s this girl I see regularly. For the past 4+ months she’s been staring at me a lot. Multiple times every time we’re in the same place. She holds eye contact, then looks away fast like she got caught. She always sits right in front of me when she could sit with her family farther back. She fidgets with her hair when I’m near.
Her brother (who’s my friend) has been dropping hints for a while stuff like her wanting to drive my car, offering to let me drive hers, saying she’d make time to hang out, etc.
Recently we actually talked. She came up to me, we had some playful banter. She tried to high-five me with “in heaven?” (she shortly thereafter said six seve💔💔) I froze and didn’t high-five back, so she roasted me (“you’re no fun Peewee Herman”) and said she’s gonna call me Tomato. Then she started laughing and ran off.
Later her dad walked over right in front of me, handed her the keys and said “go sit in the car so you stop following me around like a puppy dog.” It felt like he was lowkey joking about her hovering near me and him.
Problem is: I still don’t have her number. I’ve had multiple chances to ask but I freeze every time, and I really don’t want to go through her brother because I don’t want him in the middle of everything.
Next time I see her I’m thinking of just walking up and saying “Hey, can I get your number?” but I’m nervous I’ll freeze again or it’ll be awkward. Should I just go for it next time I see her?

there’s this one girl that i talk to all the time at church and her dad is LITERALLY setting us up, apparently her brother confronted her about me? this is how it went as told by one of my friends “her younger brother told her “i’m pretty sure he has a crush on you” then apparently she said back “no don’t say that” then her younger brother said “you like him too don’t you” then she freaked out. is that a good freak out? no idea. is any of this good? i don’t know. she’s been really friendly to me in the past couple weeks, her dad even friendlier which i think both are really good things, after ever time we’re both at church we’re almost always exclusively talking to each other. does she like me? what does “no don’t say that” even mean dawg😭😭✌️
