What do you think the kids these days will say to their children?

I love stories about the olden days. I struggle to imagine how life, as it is now will be passed on as “the way things used to be”.

I already miss history, and simpler times, do you?

As someone who LOVES interesting clothes, creativity, invention, celebration of beauty, bravery of the wearer, breaking boundaries- I’m only asking for education about the Met Gala. I’m neutral, I’m not trying to start an online conflict, but I’m genuinely interested in why this event means so much to the art community, when it is so clearly serving the attendees as a spectacle, and nothing else about the cause is generally reported.

I had to google what the Met Gala supports, I didn’t know. The attendees are there for a red carpet moment, and I don’t recall any of them talking about the importance of - sorry, have to look this up again - “Arts Costume Institute” in New York City.

Love the drama, love the exposure of the weird and wonderful fashion world. But not so much loving how the red stair moment is so completely irrelevant and unrelatable to life right now.

Maybe if we had more insight and exposure to the “Chairs” of the event- Nicole, where are you? Maybe we’d understand more.
