So I traded in my car and I cancelled the service contract same day. This created a refund for the auto loan to the tune of about $1700. I gave the dealership the payoff amount without that refund in consideration. They had that amount on the contract. Called the credit union because I was going to use the overpayment to get a new service contract and they said the payoff check was exact and so there was no overpayment made. Can’t get the dealership on the phone. Is it legal for the dealership to pocket that $1700?

Edit, numbers are as follows;

Buyers order(payoff) $13946.10
Bank received $12214.14
Missing funds $1731.96

So my new to me f150 with the 5.0 has had quite the week in my care. Lots of overdue maintenance and minor mechanical issues. But I’m working down the list. I’m now to the hot low idle & low oil pressure warning. I’ve never owned one of these before(always had Chevrolets or newer fords) and so it idling at 500 seems weird to me. When in gear hot at 500 rpms it throws the low oil pressure warning but doesn’t act funny or make noise. Oil is obviously full and although I’ll change it soon since I just got it, it’s only got 2k miles on the oil so I don’t think that’s the issue. I do plan to replace the pressure switch and clean the connector but what I would really like to do is raise the in gear idle speed to at least 700 but preferably 800. Does anybody know a reasonably priced tuner that can do that? Or perhaps Forscan can? Also would there be any issue running 5w30 instead of 5w20?

Bought this truck used with no service records at 116k miles but these look like they were replaced at some point to me. Should I replace them assuming they all look like this? It is not currently misfiring I was just doing preventative maintenance. 2012 f150 5.0

Edit: part of the reason I ask is the old plugs are iridium and the new ones are only platinum. Dealer said these were the original style.
