Did my first rubric project today and it was the most frustrated Ive been in a long time. I kept making edits based on what the eval said and then I would rerun it and it would tell me that what it just told me to do was wrong.

I was 45 minutes past the timer and I couldnt take it anymore. Not to mention, that I had to type literally 100 options in for something and it still didnt think it was self contained BECAUSE IT CANT BE.

So Idk if Ill be allowed to do them anymore but I tried so hard for literally hours. 😭

Hey, so I just need some perspective on if I'm being unreasonable or not.

I ordered a Walmart + delivery order, it was very small, less than 20 items, just a few things that I needed to make dinner tonight, some deodorant, and some freezer lunches.

The order was delivered to my doorstep at like 16:15, I picked up my stuff from the step and was confused cause it was only 2 bags.

None of the stuff I had ordered that was from the freezer section, including one of the 3 ingredients I needed for dinner, was there. So like more than half my order was missing. I was annoyed and I went into the app to report the 9 items missing. I figured that since all of the stuff was freezer stuff that the driver probably accidentally left one of the bags in his car.

I got my refund, I was annoyed, I rated 1 star on the order, which I felt bad about like 5 minutes later but couldn't take back. It's important to know that I also reduced the tip, which makes me feel even worse and I don't want to leave out cause maybe it contributed to what happened. Since half my order was missing, I reduced the tip based on the items I actually received. So instead of 10 dollars, it was like 5.

4 hours later, it's now 20:15, and my doorbell rings. The driver is standing on my doorstep with my, obviously significantly melted (the bags were dripping condensation), products. He basically said he was told if I hadn't reported the items missing, he could drop them off and I told him that I had marked them missing and I was already refunded.

He then tells me he could get in trouble and that I need to call Walmart and let them know he dropped off the items and then he said "When you get an email, rate me 5 stars". He was standing there holding the items and was only going to give them to me if I called, I guess, which makes sense. Eventually I said I wasn't able to "unreport" the items missing but that I would call when I went back inside.

I was really unsettled by this, not only cause he came back to my house 4 hours later or that he even could do that in the first place, but he seemed nice enough. He asked if he could take a picture of the items in my hand and I said sure.

I brought the stuff inside, it's mostly melted and likely completely unusable. I contacted Walmart + support regarding the order and let them know he did drop off the missing items, but that I felt weird about that interaction. I told them I didn't really want the guy to get in trouble and that they could remove my rating, but that I would like someone to talk to him and ask him not to do it again.

The refund was already processed so they aren't gonna charge me for the items anyway. I would have preferred not having them to whatever this was. I feel very guilty and don't know if I'm in the wrong here, since I don't want anyone to lose their job over something like forgetting 2 bags of groceries in their backseat. Also I think I may be the AH for reducing the tip and rating in the first place, since it was obviously a mistake and I would've gotten my money back regardless.
