Just started to work for a painter, he’s got some black magic filters cause they’ve been lasting a lot longer than 10 minutes

I’m new to being self-employed this year. I had been a full time student and two weeks ago I started working as an independent contractor. I mainly just work as a painter for this one dudes company. He said he will be paying me as a 1099. I plan to take other small jobs from different people throughout the year.

I am already setting aside 30% of my income in anticipation for my tax filing come January. I am also tracking my mileage and additional expenses.

There are no other conditions that would cause me to have a ‘complicated’ filing.

Are there any other items I should be tracking, what should I be anticipating, and would anyone recommend getting an actual accountant, or can I continue to use TurboTax?

ps. I have spent about 3 hours this morning looking around at articles and IRS.gov, the problem is that there is so much information to know what actually pertains to me. I don’t have a ton of money at the moment and can’t afford to pay for an actual accountants time yet.

Freak accident in bed caused the bottom of my sack to get coated in the excess powder from the On! can. I washed it off but it’s still really chilly.

Can they absorb the chemicals and could this be bad for my swimmer strength?

Long story short: I am laying in bed, my On! pouch container was not closed and I sat up which caused it to dump the excess powder. It only got on the bottom part of my sack, thankfully not the shaft. Is there concern to be had here? I washed it but it’s still really chilly leaving me to think there is still stuff there.
