Mf shot me in the thigh so I harvested him
I play with the bandits mod and a mod that lets you butcher zombies. This guy and his friend pulled up to my home trying to take my shit. I took their lives and his bones and brain
What's next? Will they remove the ability to sleep in coffins as well?
Anyone else playing PZ at work? And i mean proper office job
Backpack and satchel
If anybody needs to know, it is possible to wear both a backpack and a satchel. It is probably not that new but I don't remember it being possible in b41.
But a rabbit will feed you for a year.
Rabbits are part landmine in the zombie apocalypse too, by the way.
Thought id share my hideout!
Messing around with a 3d mod that allows me to place things more creatively. Certainly loving it!
The only agony is everything being on the ground and not properly stored lol
Disassemmbled half a premade log stack, got 17 logs.
For context, it was empty when i started. I looted it before while fortifying my house. I came back to disassemble it for a couple more free logs. The house next to mind had a basement with these in it, and i had to disassemble the back half to access the front half. I was doing the same thing here, but it... bugged. I think.
It started empty, and when i disassembled the ''6 log stack'', it suddenly had a large branch. I took it, then disassembled the now ''5 log stack''... and it dropped 17 logs. Thats crazy, because all the others dropped 2 or 3, maybe 4 or 5 if i was lucky. All vanilla, no mods, b42.
Made another small QoL mod - Peek a View
Hey again,
Still having a blast with B42. One thing that kept bugging me was zombies hiding behind walls, fences or billboards right in my line of sight. Vanilla already fades walls when you get close, but only within about 5 tiles, so anything further out stays blocked.
I wrote a mod that extends that fade-out to up to 20 tiles (configurable in the mod options). There's an F8 toggle, and it turns itself off in vehicles above a set speed so driving still looks normal.

I'm not sure if there's a cleaner way to solve this, but for me it works really well and I wanted to share. Source is on GitHub (MIT) if anyone wants to poke at it or build on top.
Hope some of you get use out of it.
Tbh I think this is probably gonna be one of my favorite solo save bases.
The only drawback is that I built it in rosewood and the area is boring
House update!
Since yall liked my base, thought id share a few details and stuff about it!
Currently on extinction with the more traits mod! Started with prepared weapons and a broken leg,
Negative traits: restless sleeper, conspicuous, self destructive, broken leg, and weak stomach.
Positive: dextrous, lead foot, quiet, thuggish, and keen hearing! (Plus weapons prepared)
Current rules is building this out as part of a small comic I was making so no fire, and keeping a journal to get art inspiration from!
(Favorite details are the individual books I placed on the bookshelf, the hacksaws and medkit hanging on the rods in the wall, and the water bottles stacked on shelfs!
May post more pics as it developes! (This basement had a ton of chairs so I kind of just lined them up in the bedroom lol
OMG NO MORTAR and PESTLE IN ALL ROSEWOOD?!?! HOW RARE IS THIS THING!?
Is this normal, or am I playing with a psychopath?
I started playing not long ago, and recently with a friend. My first multiplayer save, so I’m not sure if this is normal or what.
We just finished looting maldrough (or however you spell it) and she put a lot of metal stuff in the microwave and started a fire. I asked what the h and she said “oh I like to burn the cities when I’m done exploring them 🥰”
Is this a common practice in project zomboid, or is she crazy???
