Can’t decide between Used 2024 or new Tesla

Hey everyone! I’m currently stuck in the 'research phase' on Cars.com and the Tesla site and could use some help. I’m looking at the Model 3 Long Range, but I’m torn between the AWD and the RWD.
I’m based in North Carolina, so while our winters aren't usually brutal, we definitely deal with some messy rain and the occasional ice/snow. I have a pretty consistent commute that has me on the road basically every day:

Mon–Thurs: 1 PM to 8 PM
Fri–Sat: 12 PM to 9 PM
Sunday: 12 PM to 5 PM

Since I'm driving home late most nights—and doing the usual weekly grocery runs and errands—I want to make sure I pick the right trim for the long haul.
For those of you in NC or similar climates, is the AWD worth the extra cost for the added grip and the slightly better sound system? Or is the RWD Long Range plenty for our roads while giving that extra bit of efficiency? Also, if anyone has compared a Used 2024 to a New one recently, let me know if there's anything I should watch out for. Thanks!
