I've been stuck working at Walmart for almost 2 years and about 4 months ago. My coach said hey I wanna promote you. And 4 months later of me not hearing a peep I went to my HR lady and was like hey am I still getting a promotion? And she had me log in to look. So I log in and I cant get said promotion till June 24 bc I have a disciplinary action from almost a year ago. Im going to see if thats my only option but right now its looking like it. And internally im destroying myself. I feel like such an idiot for getting myself in trouble and it coming to bite me in the ass. I dont understand how to process this information and 2 months of dwelling on it are gounna turn my thoughts extremely dark. Any solid advice?

So almost a year ago I got a red DA(i deserved it i made an insensitive joke) and now it has come to haunt me. I've been waiting 4 months for a promotion and I just talked to our HR lady and she was not helpful telling me if I can still get promoted or if i have to wait till June. Ima talk to my coach tomorrow and see what she says but if I gotta wait till June ima die. Any advice?
