Hair thinning

Hi everyone, I’m 28F and I’ve struggled with fine/thinning hair for as long as I can remember, and I think genetics may play a role since there’s hair thinning on both sides of my family. My hair has always been very fine, and my roots get greasy quickly. The biggest issue is the thinning around my temples/sides and along my part line (photos attached) — it leaves a lot of emptiness, and when I put my hair up, it makes my hairline look very sparse, which I feel really insecure about.
I’ve also dealt with some hormonal issues and have mild PCOS/microcysts, so I know that could be contributing as well. I’m trying my best to manage that, but I feel stuck because I don’t know what else I can realistically do. I’ve tried different hair oils and I also tried minoxidil before, but I wasn’t consistent enough to know if it would have worked. At this point I just really want honest advice from people who’ve dealt with something similar—whether this looks genetic/hormonal, what tests I should ask for, or what treatments/products actually helped. I just want to find something that works.

Please help!! As a hopeless student with ADHD, I struggle with structured procrastination and finding it difficult to solve exam kit questions. Once I sit down to study I often end up memorising answers rather than fully understanding the material. I need some tips and tricks to become more efficient. I can spend over two hours trying to solve just two problems and still feel like I don’t understand them. Even when I try a slightly different exercise I get stuck again. This is my first exam after law and I’ve postponed it twice already.
