IMPORTANT MIDDLE EAST EXAM UPDATE , ATTENDED ACCA WEBINAR TODAY.

Just attended the ACCA webinar today and wanted to share an important update regarding exams in the Middle East.

They mentioned that if a similar situation arises in March and they’re unable to conduct exams due to the regional situation, they would cancel the exams rather than offer a remote exam option.

Honestly, this really sucks to hear. I know a lot of us are putting in so much time and effort, and the thought of potentially losing another 3 months is pretty frustrating.

That said, I really hope things improve and that we’re all able to sit for the exams as planned without any disruptions.

All the best to everyone preparing, stay safe!! 🙏

New industry job, should I switch to CIMA

Hi 👋,

I’ve just stated a new job in industry I moved from practice. Everyone I work with is now CIMA rather than ACCA or ACA.

I was wondering if I should switch to CIMA or stay with ACCA , I am half way through ACCA exams and have meet the practical experience requirements.

My company will fund either study.

What are your thoughts 💭.

AFM (June 2026) how is your preparation going?

Hey everyone,

I have recently finished the syllabus and moved into practice with the Kaplan kit. Working through NPV/APV and M&A questions.

Mixed confidence so far especially in M&A. How about you?

Which topics to focus on most in my preparations?

If you’d like to join AFM with me, feel free to DM.

PER question

Hey, I'm writing up PER now and for each one I'm using 2-3 brief examples. However its hard not to repeat examples again since a lot of my work covers a few of the objectives and it sounds relevant to include it. Also as I'm trainee I haven't done too much high level work.

So the question is does it matter if you repeat examples?
