"Why do my supports always suck" "why do I never get healing" "why does my other support not pattycake'

Here's the idea.

Support is, without question, without debate, the simplest most straightforward role. Yes, dive exists, yes, over extending teammates exist, yes, theres a world of difference between playing a Luna or Loki vs playing a Dagger or Rocket.

But overall, if NOTHING else works for you, you can always one trick dagger or sue (literally just whichever one is open/unbanned) every game to get to a rank you couldn't have on dps or tank.

This is why in the low ranks, healing feels so bad.

You genuinely CAN'T be a good or even MEDIOCRE healer and stay in the low ranks.

Most of the people playing support in the low ranks are either ARGUMENTATIVE and wrong, more interested in antagonizing their team than ACTUALLY playing the game. Theyll throw and refuse to heal someone because they asked for healing or asked for a swap.

Or they are simply dps players who are filling for support bc they picked late. (Nothing wrong with that, but they're filling off role, and usually instead of just going dagger/Sue to secure the free win they hop on Loki with 35 minutes ever played on Loki and end the game with 6k healing in 4 rounds.)

EVERYONE who actually plays support even SLIGHTLY consistently with any sense has LONG SINCE left Bronze through Diamond .

Dagger is one of the best heroes in the game. And they gave her autoaim, TWO amazing survivability tools, one being a mini support ult on a 6 second cooldown and one being complete INTANGIBILITY WITH INVINCIBILITY. Their healing sheet is nice (only balanced ability in her kit), but their terror cape can blind and make you vulnerable.

Her ult covers 60 meters. Why does the ult cover 60 meters.

With THAT much utility, she feels like a WIN CONDITION, most of my games where healing was an issue were caused because my team went deadpool and Jeff for out backline and the enemy went Invisible Woman and Dagger.

"But your team can swap to--"

yeah but if he was smart enough to swap he wouldnt be in diamond have you ever tried asking a 2 support ultron or adam to swap to an easier healer? Talking to the wall.

I've said before I think being even mediocre at the big 3 supports (Dagger, Invisible Woman and Rocket) will secure your a FREE ticket to high ranks (GM+) with minimal skill, but i think that free ticket is WHY the odds are in your games, it feels like supports dont know what theyre doing. The ones who did are already gone. Youre in Plat playing with Silver players who got where they are with Invisible Woman.

There's no awareness. No accountability. They will ask you why you arent peeling as you peel for them and when you die because you're fighting the guy whos trying to dive and the supports dont even know hes there (so they don't try to heal you), they will yell at you for not having many kills and yell at you AGAIN when their still alive diver killt them (the diver who is only still alive because the person peeling for them didnt get healing)

Every game is a battle between who gets the dumbest supports, and which side goes dagger and sue and which side decides to play dive Mantis and Ultron in two support

"IF ITS SO EASY TO CLIMB ON DAGGER WHY DONT YOU DO IT"

As tempting as it can be to just abuse dagger and invis and gambit (albiet he is a harder choice that just everyone cant use), i do fear using easier heroes like supports would CRIPPLE my aim and make me unqualified to swap back to another role. Maybe I can reach Eternity as a support player, but if I swap back to Tank or DPS, I'm still a diamond player and I'd essentially be stuck on the simplest role bc i, like most supports, would be significantly higher than I actually belong.

(Also note how if they get to go dps, they'll go wanda and Squirrel girl, never a combo heavy melee or an aim heavy Hitscan #Noticing )

For a long while I was an EOMM doubter who insisted it didnt exist, it couldn't exist, it was only a way to cope with mistakes that could be avoided if you were good enough, that by NOT believing in EOMM, it puts the power in your own hands to do better.

That was severely wrong

I believe that close to 0% of your games are decided by you. You have NO control of your winrate. You could get a 20% winrate or a 70% winrate with the same skill level. You could be in Silver 2 or Celestial 2 with the same skill level. It NEVER mattered.

Every game is pre determined. The only games that deviate from this are games that have an unexpected Leavers or thrower

On the topic of theowers, I even suspect the game puts people on harsh loss streaks with teammates it automatically detects are both likely to be aggressive in voice or team chat and on a loss streak themselves to MAXIMIZE the chance of someone throwing.

Everything from the limited avoid system (should be infinite) to the ridiculously long respawn times, to the global ult nerf solely exists to make forcibly winning a game near impossible

If u deliberately hard throw, you can POSSIBLY force a loss. To my knowledge, you can never force a win without someone from the enemy team throwing, disconnecting or AFKing

Even smurfs, who climb through the ranks quickly, are most likely detected as smurfs in the first few rounds they play on the game (where their performance will be significantly greater than any other level 1 player), and once theyre allowed into ranks it puts them into forced win lobbies so they can quickly climb out of the low ranks and not disturb the system in place

Rivals has no bad matchmaking. It is predetermined.

I will be winning effortlessly in Grandmaster one season and Considering uninstalling in Plat the next. It was NEVER about your gameplay.

I suppose by letting u reach a certain rank and dropping you from it, you're more likely to try to climb back to where you belong as opposed to simply giving in where you are. If the climb back to your true rank was fair, itd take hours to days. By forcing losses, it can take weeks to months.

You mostly go on win streaks or loss streaks. Players who get off for a few days at a time almost always return to a win streak. Who has EVER stopped doing something for a few days and been BETTER at it than when they practiced daily?

Probably also why every decent hero gets unnecessary nerfs (looking directly at Elsa and Phoenix) because if you could climb with a hero u might ACTUALLY get to your true rank and u might stop playing

As far as I can tell, the only way to affect your winrate and rank is to switch to quickplay after you get a loss streak and ride it out until it lets u win again (which isnt really changing it as much as its just forcing the damage to go where it doesnt matter.

If youve made any other discoveries about EOMM, or if you have ways to avoid it, or if you disagree, Id love to hear it.

In Game Name: Witherbob

Platform: Playstation

Codes: 10269696995 & 10801878059

Fellas i come to you with shame pain and desperation Elsa feels genuinely awful I need help getting better

I keep hearing she's top 3 dps shes so good I go to actually play her she feels terrible

She cant kill anything she explodes instantly her ult is awful her damage is awful I need ANY advice on how to get better

Every guide I can find is outdated and was made before they gutted her is she just not good for console idk whats going on I need in depth help literally as many tips as u can give

This is the second time ive seen a hero be described as S tier but when u actually play them u can tell theyre significantly worse than Black Widow what am I missing

Am I out of position do I need to go on a slight flank or a deep off angle or play with team do I dive or take advantage of my percentage damage to shoot tanks

Only mistake I saw (other than selecting elsa in a console lobby) was not dashing onto point sooner during overtime (I was scared id immediately explode and wanted to wait for my team bc she just dies so quickly and its awful) so im looking for honest constructive critism (saying "ur bad" is not constructive criticism)

Netease hates Aim.

Elsa was ALREADY hard to play and a mostly unknown hero. NOBODY else was super excited to play "Elsa Bloodstone".

Why would they think its reasonable to nerf her MULTIPLE times?

Taking away her percentage based damage and reducing her (albeit ridiculous) launch ult hitbox size was MORE than enough)

Reducing the time the ult was out was a drastic and ill thought out change that made an ult that ALREADY required perfect timing, positioning and honestly a lot of luck to be able to use effectively even HARDER with no compensation buff (again, shrinking the hitbox was all it needed. The glarbox has HEALTH, you can shoot it)

Gutting her dashes TWICE goes from ill advised to just nonsensical in a game where death happens as instantly as this making you lose TWO meters of instinct was already a bone headed change that shouldn't have ever made it to the game (replacing her overshield with healing over time may have been better)

Taking dashes you ALREADY lose two of and doubling the MAX LEVEL cooldown is outrageous, at your BEST you'll only be at the level of the second highest level, and if u die even ONCE you're back to 8 or 10 seconds?

I didnt even REALIZE at first but they took her down to 275?? When she ALREADY died quickly

Elsa gets nerf after nerf, Phoenix gets nerf after nerf, Hela gets nerf after nerf, Black widow probably represents what the devs INTEND for hitscan to be

Another 10,000 games on Thing and Wanda and Dagger bc if u play anyone with aim u will get nerfed to NOTHINGNESS

Punisher is inexplicably the one exception he and pre ult nerf starlord are the only Strong Hitscan and theyre both TRACKING hitscan not single aim hitscan (Ult reduction was another HORRIBLE change btw. It shouldve only been support specific ult charge nerf, like how tenacity should've been a tank only perk)

Im a console player so aim is already difficult enough, these pointless nerfs make it to where she's barely even playable

Netease Buff Elsa IMMEDIATELY 275, 3 second dashes, and 1 meter lost at death again 🙏🙏🙏🙏

No troll no bait no meme no joke pls im tired of 300 games of melee only or run wanda or namor no aim allowed PLS
