I started working on this project over 8 months ago. I built everything from scratch, I taught myself how to set up a database, use API’s, harden security points, and work with the Apple Store. I officially launched GoGrub on the Apple App Store in December, and I never would have imagined selling 27 elite versions of my app in the first few months of being on the App Store, this amounts to ($4,049.73) in net revenue.

The growth has been slow compared to other app posts I have seen here. However I’m proud slow and steady!

I need to work on converting to free users to Minimum basic users. While single OTP sales are great, subscriptions will help cover the cost in a way more stable way. I’d love any insights people have or experiences regarding conversions!

So I have spent the last few months building out application, that I believe will be truly popular. I don’t want this post to come off as an advertisement so I won’t say what the app does or anything like that. I’ll post a link to my website at the end (if anyone’s interested).

With that out of the way. I want to know what are some strategies people have used to get their business/ product out in front of people when they had No Money to pay for marketing / advertising. Of course I know that social media is free and I should be leveraging it which I am.

The problem I am facing is this, I haven’t found my self to be creative enough to come up with post or demos that highlight what my app is capable of without cheap hooks or gimmicks on social media(which ultimately leave potential customers with a bad taste in their mouth). I need a marketing partner ultimately, but the roadblock as I mentioned before is money to pay a partner.

So my ask is this. What ways have you found to promote your business or product in a non-gimmicky way that has actually been able to drive results.
