Need some help diagnosing an issue with my 2013 XL 6.2L Ford F350.
I’m getting a strange noise only during light acceleration or when the engine is under slight load. The noise disappears completely if I press the throttle harder or put the engine under heavier load.
The truck drives normally otherwise and transmission shifts smoothly.
Maintenance/checks already done:
- Checked coil condition (no electrical leak or bad boots)
- Installed new serpentine belt and pulleys
- Cleaned throttle body
- Truck is NOT equipped with IMRC
- Transmission shifts perfectly
- Checked for loose/rattling parts physically and found nothing
- engine and trans oil changes done.
Additional notes:
- Noise is more noticeable at low RPM/light throttle
- Happens while driving, not at idle
- Noise goes away immediately under hard acceleration

Anyone experienced something similar on these trucks?
