Yay or nay, too much wheel poke?

This is a set of Fuel Forged FF19 wheels 22x10 with -25mm offset, if I remember correctly. Wrapped with 325/50/R22 Toyo Open Country AT III tires (approximately 12.8" wide).

This set came off my 2011 F250, which had fender flares, so this is a bit more wheel poke than my previous configuration. I'd estimate about 3" of wheel poke in these pictures.

I don't mind an aggressive stance, but still want a tasteful OEM plus look. Opinions?

Baby’s first Ford and first Diesel

Hi everyone. Bought my first Ford (2010 F-350 LB DRW) and first diesel a few days ago to eventually pull a travel trailer and haul me, my wife, two kids, and three dogs. Looking forward to making this “new-to-me” truck more of my own.

Help me decide

Which would you choose? Trying to make up my mind on which truck I want to go with.

Truck 1: 84,500 out the door for a 2026 argon blue black appearance package, security pad, FX4 and the lariat premium package. This truck is in state about 5 hours round trip.

Truck 2: 87,800 out the door. 2026 Argon blue, black appearance package, ultimate package, moonroof, security pad, toggle switches, engine block heater, supplemental cab heater, fx4. Car is out of state about 12 drive home.

Both have the regular diesel. I guess for those who have experienced both. Is the ultimate package that much better over the premium?

Thanks guys

I have a 2023 Lightning Lariat, and I genuinely love the truck. When we bought it, we didn’t have a boat—but that’s changed. We picked up a boat last year and have now gone through a full season with it. I trailer it every time we use it.

For local ramps on the Chesapeake Bay, the Lightning works great. I can get there and back without needing to charge. The problem comes with longer trips—places like Delaware, Virginia, Pennsylvania, or running offshore in Maryland. On those trips, I have to stop and charge, which is a hassle when towing. I end up detaching the trailer in a parking lot, charging, then hooking everything back up. Some trips require 2–3 charging stops, and realistically I only get about 155 miles per charge while towing.

What should be a 6-hour round trip can turn into 9 hours, which isn’t exactly enjoyable.

That said, there’s still a lot I love about the truck. The power and acceleration are incredible. Charging at home is far cheaper than gas. The Lariat trim is comfortable and well-equipped. Overall, it’s been a great vehicle.

So this is where I go back and forth. The truck has about 35k miles, and I only owe $34k on it. Realistically, we’d only take these longer towing trips maybe five times a year. The practical side of me says to keep the Lightning, spend the ~$35k to finish paying it off, and just deal with a handful of longer travel days each year.

But the other side of me is tempted to switch to a gas truck—something like an F-250—so I don’t have to deal with the charging hassle at all. Honestly, if I had the boat first, I probably wouldn’t have chosen the Lightning, simply because of the limited towing range.

Financially, though, the switch is tough to justify. I’d likely get around $40k on trade (which stings, considering I paid $79k new), leaving me about $6k positive on the loan. But then I’m turning around and buying a $60k+ truck and starting over with a much larger loan. In the long run, I’m essentially doubling what I’ll spend on a truck—going from about $35k remaining to $60–65k again.

On top of that, the F-250 wouldn’t be as nice in terms of features unless I spent even more, and I’d be going back to higher fuel costs, oil changes, and general engine maintenance. The Lightning, by comparison, is incredibly low maintenance.

So it really comes down to whether the added cost is worth the convenience. I’d be paying significantly more for a less comfortable truck, just to gain range and eliminate charging stops a handful of times a year.

I know this is ultimately a personal decision, but I’d be interested to hear how others would think about it.

Current truck: 2021 F350 SRW 7.3L 4.30, standard bed
Current RV: 40ft fifth wheel toy hauler, around 17k pounds

Full-time RV life, I've towed from Texas to Florida to Maine to Colorado to San Diego. I've crossed a couple of 10k mountain passes. The 7.3L can do it all, except pass a gas station.

After 75k miles, about half of those towing, I'm thinking about trading for a new PowerStroke. I see rumors of a new, larger diesel, but if the 7.3L was good enough, then I can't see needing to go bigger than the current engine. HO seems like overkill, though you can try talking me into it. The current 6.7 gets me the power I need, the range I want, and the ability to fill up in the truck lanes on longer trips. I've gotten good at finding Flying Js and other trailer-friendly gas pumps, but there just aren't enough of them.

I originally avoided buying a diesel because I'm unfamiliar with them and I didn't want to be stuck with a problem I don't understand in an unfamiliar place and having to find a diesel tech. It's much easier to find someone to work on a gas engine.

The alternative is to stick with a 7.3L and have an aftermarket fuel tank installed. 58 gallons gets me around 400 miles, 2x my current, which would help a lot. However, at that point I'm maybe $5k shy from the Powerstroke cost and I still can't fill up in the truck lanes if I do want to do a longer trip.

I have nothing but love for the 7.3, its fun to drive and problem free so far. Most people towing under 12k should be looking to the 7.3 first, especially if they tow recreationally, but I think I'm outgrowing it.

The biggest thing I'll miss is Velocity Blue.

More tech with less capability

Just here bitch'n...

Looking to replace my 2021 F250 Lariat with the premium package for a new 2027 F250 Lariat with the Premium package. In 2021 I added the Adaptive steering option. In 2024 they replaced adaptive steering with Electrical Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) but no option online to add it. Depending on how you ask, Google says it's standard or it say's only available with the Ultimate package. And if asked directly it says it's standard with the Premium package. One dealer said it's no longer available while others are still looking.

I also have an A.R.E. Z cap on my 2021 with the lock being integrated into the trucks locking system. Just checked with my local cap dealer. Of course my 2021 will not fit on a new 2027, that would be too easy but I understand. The problem now is they can't integrate the locking mechanism into the new trucks lock. I have to use a key every time I want to lock it! They said the electronics in the new trucks are so sensitive that it throws a code and causes computer issues. Need the industry to offer a plug-n-play harness before they can start using keyless system again.

Not going to dump another $40K to get a less functional truck..

Just pissed...

Bitch'n ends....

Prospective Owner of a '12 F250

Hey, new to the sub. I'm coming from a 4th generation 4Runner that got totaled, and since I've acquired a fifth wheel camper recently and also had a daughter in January I was looking for something to tackle both topics; that being room for a carseat and the ability to tow on only limited occasions while not slaughtering me on gas and long term reliability.

For those reasons, I was cruising FB Marketplace and found a 2012 F250 with the 6.2L gas engine. From what I've read, these are seemingly rock solid and able to last me upwards of 300k miles with religious maintenance like I've done with my 4Runner.

I have some videos from the seller and wanted to get this community's opinion on the sale. He's asking $17.5k for it, and comparatively that seems like a good deal alongside other listings. 114k miles on the dash, and I've noticed the bed cross members are corroded but I have an A-frame hoist I can swap those easy with.

So, what do you guys think? Good deal? Anything I should know or didn't notice?

TL;DR

2012 F250 6.2L with 114k miles for $17.5k, good deal?

How did I do?

2016 F350 XL 6.7 purchased at auction with 86k miles as a cab and chassis. Added flatbed and sent it to a mechanic. All good now. I have about $21K into it. How did I do?

2023-2026 F250/F350 Console Divider

After noticing my new 2026 was missing the rubber insert that normally sits in the narrow section of the center console, I decided to design and make my own. I honestly can’t believe Ford started leaving this piece out, especially since my 2024 came with it from the factory. From reading through posts on here, it sounds like a lot of 2025–2026 owners are noticing the same thing.
I used that section all the time in my 2024 for smaller items, and with the open holes on the 2026, everything just falls through now. So my wife and I decided to create a clean OEM-style solution and started making them ourselves.
We’ve put together an Etsy listing for anyone interested. Right now I have:
• “SUPER DUTY” version
• “TREMOR” version using the factory Tremor-style font
Currently available in black PLA, but I’m open to custom colors/materials if anyone wants something different. I’ve personally had the black PLA SUPER DUTY version installed in my truck in the South Florida heat for over a month with zero issues.
If anyone’s interested, feel free to message me. Appreciate the support!

I finally saved up my pennies and ordered my Chandler Truck Assesories (pic from their website) full grill guard front bumper. No winch yet but that’ll be maybe next year. I also got the fairlead flip-up tag bracket. Plan on using stock fog lights as seen in CTAs picture and adding some 4x4 pod lights and a 9” light bar once the bumper is installed. After some exhaustive research, this was the best fit for me. After talking to the sales rep last week, it should be delivered in 5-10 business days which is pretty quick. I’m having it shipped to work and a coworker and I are going to install it on an upcoming Saturday. We have all of the tools at work and access to a forklift to hold it in place while we bolt it up.

Fog Lights

Team: I bought a 2026 F350 XL for work and need to install fog lights to drive at night through brutal tule fog. I would appreciate your suggestions.

Thank you

How do you think current model F-350 compares to a current model GMC 3500?

Obviously I can test drive, but I am curious how each would perform under a 15k fifth wheel.
I have a 24 SRW F-350, but I am considering going to the dark side.

Memory Steer

Hi all, i just got my 07 350 SRW back from getting studded and other work. A part of the work was to fix memory steering issues that i have been fighting for months… Long story short ALL components in steering and suspension have been replaced along with 2 redhed gear boxes.. truck has brand new tires less than 800 miles on them holds alignment but likes to favor left and when i bring it back to correct, it then wanders in the lane.. at highway speeds it almost feels like front end is light with an empty bed. It has dual stabalizers and i upgraded the worn factory one to a bilstien.. shop loosened and re-torqued entire front end pulled axles double checked by new u joints drove with and without stabilizers on it (no real difference) … owner is at a loss he put 2 redhed in it, he was hesitant to do a third… told me to drive 500 miles and see if things may need to settle… if anyone has had this issue before any insight is greatly appreciated

Just ordered a f250 xl stx with the 7.3. After some options I added it came to $64,500. Obviously that price will change when the dealer gets it but not too much. I also got employee pricing locked in on it. My question is what is the “discount” for employee pricing
