* SPOILER ALERT *
. . .
. . .
. . .
Did it rub anyone else the wrong way that the Doctor Sleep movie introduced elements of The Shining book into an ending that featured Stanley Kubrick's Overlook? Specifically, Danny mentioning the ghosts from the book, such as Horace Derwent, and then seeing these ghosts destroy Rose the Hat?
The ghosts are not mentioned in Kubrick's movie, so there's no indication Danny knew about them.
It's no secret Stephen King did not like Kubrick's adaptation. Did he (or a sympathizer) feel the need to revise Kubrick's towering, monumental achievement?
I just feel like if you want to stick to the books, then keep the ending of the Doctor Sleep book. No one should touch this movie.
I don't have much vinyl but I had to buy this when I saw it. Love the play and this artwork is so sultry and creepy.
