2011 Ford S-Max 2.2 tdci duratorq with auto gearbox (not powershift).

Had the front shocks changed and coincidentally now the cabin has a death rattle as soon as reverse is selected.

Filmed the engine and you can see a visible lurch when reverse is selected and gas applied.

Is this a classic sign of a failed engine mount(s)? There are 3 mounts in total, 2 above either side of the engine and 1 below connecting to the subframe.

I jacked up the engine slightly this morning on the gearbox side which reduced the cabin vibration when I selected reverse. Not sure how changing the shocks have led to this.

Hi all,

I'm in the market for a used ID.3 for the wife. I've recently found a high mileage (122,000 miles) 2020 1st edition for £7500. I'm new to VW ev's so just wanted user views on battery degradation and general quirks of the model? Would it be a good buy at a discounted rate or should I pass? It's received 4 main dealer services in it's lifetime with the last one 7 months ago. UK based.
